A welcome port in a storm ...

Based on the TripAdvisor reviews, I had planned to dine in Cow Bay, but the weather was appalling and I was staying at the Crest Hotel, so I decided to dine in rather than risk hypothermia. It was a good choice. The menu is creative and includes a selection for every palate and dietary... read more

Every year an annual migration takes place on the Skeena--the eulachon, a tiny oily fish, migrate in huge numbers upriver to spawn, accompanied by seals, sea lions, seagulls and bald eagles. Many folks from Terrace and further migrate down the highway to see this unique phenomenon, and many of them find their way to the Crest's restaurant to enjoy a... More

Food was good but not cheap, good choice on menu. Service was a little slow as restaurant was busy, staff were friendly.

It had been years since I was last at the Crest. The rooms and dining room have been upgraded -- but beware of bedrooms near the parking lot as people come and go noisily both late and early. The bar was remarkably busy. The staff were friendly and obliging but sometimes over attentive.

My husband and I ate here and were excited considering other reviews and the high standards of The Crest that we had already experienced. However, we found the chinks in the shiny armour. hostess was very inviting and friendly and seated us at a lovely table with a beautiful view. The evening was a mixed bag of ups and downs... More

I went in this place with a large group for a beer and ended up having a late lunch. To our surprise the large group was accommodated in a timely manner. The selection of beers and drinks was very good and the food quality was excellent. Some friends had the salmon and they liked it a lot, it was a... More

The view is absolutely incredible. Food is decent. Service is ok. Breakfast and lunch have nice selections reasonably priced for this part of the world.

The seafood curry was excellent! Full of fish chunks. The waiter was very knowledgable about the menu. The beer prices were great. What a great way to end a business day. Will make it a regular stop.
