The cuisine is absolutely delicious. The view over the harbour only ads to the experience. A great find in a great small city.

It is basically a posts restaurant but do have fish. Although the fish is caught and landed 25m from the door, they price it as if it comes from the other side f the world. We feel they take advantage of the tourist in this regard.

We were surprised to find out this unassuming looking "cafe" was actually an upscale (small) restaurant. Reservations are suggested. The small outdoor seating area provides sweeping views of the water. Food was good (albeit a bit on the expensive side). If you're expecting a Denny's style cafe, you will be in for sticker-shock... but the food and views are worth... More

We had freshly brewed coffee and a great pizza. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely go back again.

Enjoyed the menu, - some classics as well as some unique choices - local food, well prepared. Great service too. We were late for our dinner because the boat we were on arrived in late - they kept the kitchen open and did not make us feel rushed in anyway. Lovely evening. Prawns with artichoke and wild mushroom linguine was... More

We agree with the other reviews: quaint, good food, great view of the local fishing fleet from their deck-up close and personal. Eat outside if you can. We were there in the mid-afternoon and so we had pizza. Nice thin crust and very tasty. Menu pricing will get your attention, but we definitely would go back.

What more could you want from a restaurant than breath-taking views? Well, in Prince Rupert, some seafood could be nice. I was really hoping for some nice salmon from the shores of this coastal town, and unfortunately, that is the one area where the Cow Bay Cafe did not deliver. They only had one fish on the menu (halibut, not... More

Four of us had dinner at the Cow Bay Café in Prince Rupert BC. This was my first time visiting the restaurant and it was recommended by my son, who lives in PR. The restaurant is small and so space is limited so we made a reservation. Each dish ordered was so fresh and with great taste, it was amazing.... More

After tramping the streets of Prince Rupert looking for lunch, we had given up hope of finding anywhere offering the sort of food served at the Cow Bay Café. It was a revelation. Our meals were cooked with finesse using high quality ingredients. The halibut was particularly good with the fish being perfectly complemented by the sauce and accompaniments. If... More

So happy to see this restaurant re-opened with new owners. It was just as delightful as before, though the menu is a bit different now. Our food was delicious and the service was friendly and prompt. The smoked salmon crostini was amazing! We will definitely be back!!
