My friends and I sat at a booth near the Hibachi grill. I was glad that I didn't pay extra to sit there for the "show", pretty unimpressive as far as hibachi flare. The sushi was tasty, I recommend the sushi boat to get the most bang for your buck. Overall the food was ok and the service was slow.... More

On a snowy, windy evening we were reluctant to go far and didn't have to with Shogun within our hotel. Though I have experienced better Japanese cuisine elsewhere, this is Prince George and I was impressed with the offering. Presentation was good and it was great to taste fresh ingredients. All meats and seafood were appropriately cooked and tasty. Give... More

This a very consistantly good restaurant and each visit is made to feel special. Love the tableside teppenyaki, however we prefer the more quiet booth seating for just the two of us. Everything on the menu is perfect to order whether it isa full dinner or just entrees with yummy Shogun salad and tempura prawns. Yummy yummy and great place,

We went out with the family and our Grandson who is not quite 2 yet and had a wonderful dinner. The portions are just right and with having your meal cooked right in front of you it comes out the way you want it. The lights and fire show with the food kept our grandson well entertained. We have been... More

The clue is in the name - Japanese steakhouse. I ordered the tempura set meal and a spicy tuna roll. The tempura meal was enormous - a big platter of heavily breaded shrimp, scallops, vegetables and possibly chicken. The delicate flavours that I expected were not there. The greasy residue was. Other diners were obviously enjoying their meals and the... More

I was staying at the Coast Inn and decided to come downstairs for an early dinner on my last night. The hostess seated me immediately (as I was dining alone and didn't have to wait for or join a group as required for teppanyaki service). I ordered a mixed drink and Bento Box 1, requesting to substitute the shrimp salad... More

Thank-you for the kind words JoanCBee! We are so glad you decided to join us on your recent stay. The asian salad dressing is our very own shogun dressing made in-house! We hope to see you back soon. Cheers! More

6 of us went for dinner here and it was really good. The chef makes your dinner for you on the grill right in front of you. Good times good food. Go just for the experience but the food is really good to.

It’s obvious to see that Shogun is in a class by itself; check that, an entirely a different school. Pushing the metaphor further, it’s McConaughey post the mcconaissance. Shōji (those are Japanese paper doors) separate private rooms away from the huge serving area dominated by the teppanyaki grills. Ethnically distinct music rained pleasantly from speakers. Soft spot lighting fell onto... More
