overpriced and disappointing

Pirogies with steak is odd and the perogies were inedible. Appetizer came with fresh baked bread that was dry, tasteless and inedible. Great dessert crème brulee

This place straddles a very fine line. What could be staid older dishes have new twists that do not disappoint. If you're afraid it's going to be too stuffy, put your fears at rest. The food is magnificent, locavarian and I guarantee NOT what you think you're expecting.

We arrived at the restaurant at 6:30 pm after being seated we looked at the wine list, which was extensive, after choosing a bottle, the server came back to tell us that bottle was not in stock, niether were the four others we asked for (one bottle on the list stated it was from Italy, but was from Chile )... Our dining experience this evening was wonderful, from the time we enter this charming restaurant to the time we left. Our server, Kevin, was very attentive and our wine and all courses arrived at just the right pace for enjoyable dining. Our food was delicious and the presentation interesting. Everything tasted so fresh! We had a Groupon for the 4... More

Went on a Groupon and were terribly disappointed. It was obvious who was there on a Groupon and who wasn't. Worst overall dining experience ever! Terrible food (and little of it), bad service!

Like many other reviewers were also here with a Groupon voucher - $155 for 4 people. As this was supposed to reflect a 50% discount on normal prices, we were quite excited about the meal to follow. The first of our 4 courses were wantons - which came on 1 plate for all 4 of to share. They were bland... More

We went in with a groupon. We were given the wrong menu to choose from. The menu we were offered was still amazing. In fact we didnt even know it was wrong till we went back the next day to get our car ( enjoyed lots of yummy wine) and we saw a bottle of wine with a note explaining... More

Beautiful old house and lovely garden setting. Tables well spaced, quiet, unobtrusive background music, lovely romantic atmosphere. Wonderfully prepared and served fresh foods. We had delicious veal scallopini! Be sure to check wine prices before ordering. We paid $33 for a half litre of an average local red.

The dining room is on the ground floor of a beautifully restored heritage house with high ceilings, mullioned windows, and original oak woodwork. It felt warm and intimate even though every table was taken. But maybe the candlelight and the white table linens had something to do with that. Our server was charming and friendly and a real help in... More

We wanted to visit Bogners restaurant for quite a while. Once we couldn't get in because it was full and we didn't have a reservation, another time we were too tired or too far away etc. When finally we sat at our table the other night we were very happy and found the place cosy and the personal very kind...
