Wow, what a fabulous discovery. Sign up for 'this week at Walla' and be enticed and entertained by the up coming weekly specials. Loved the 'Puttanesca Loaf' featured this week. In the Cannery -1475 Fairview Rd. Penticton. Highly recommend going for lunch.

If you ever hit Penticton in B.C. Canada, make sure you find this little gem and have the pastrami sandwich. And - be hungry. Its generous. For me it simply redefined this type of meat, and I am already looking forward to return. Although I have to fly for 12h. Seriously. Thanks to the owners!!

If you enjoy a good smoked meat sandwich, then you'll love Walla. Hidden in the back of the cannery complex, this little cafe produces the most outstanding hot pastrami sandwich you'll ever eat. Smoked and aged to perfection, the owners make everything themselves. It's a taste experience that has a multitude of flavors and layers to it and is guaranteed... More

The owner is the baker and cook, the best rye bread I have ever had. He also makes quiche's, and the healthiest chocolate fudge with cocoa type dessert you can find. He and his wife are very helpful, I have several health issues, they took time to explain which items were best for me. Great people to deal with.

Perhaps the most exciting thing at market is the wafting smells of fresh bread and pastries beckoning you to Penticton's Farmers Market Stand, Walla Foods. I am never disappointed with the consistent quality that Walla brings to the table (literally) each and every time. Returning recently from Europe, I find that Walla foods surpasses my many indulgences both here in... More

This past weekend, I was passing through Penticton and my priority was to stop at the Penticton's Farmer's Market to eat Walla's goodies. I have frequented this little cafe regularly when I lived in Penticton but have never had the chance to sample the goodies that are made for market. So here is my review: It started with a cheese... My boyfriend and I stopped here on our day trip to Penticton and loved it! The food was absolutely delicious and the man who worked there and made the food was super nice! I will definitely be back when I come back to Penticton! Best lunch I've had in a long time!

I had dropped by myself to find no one there for lunch. I ordered the soup and bread combo and was also served pickled green tomatoes. This was such a great meal I took my whole office later and we all raved at the presentation, and excellence of the food. Everyone of the 6 of us will be back and... More

I saw good reviews for Walla, and we were hungry, so we followed the directions to this "hole in the wall" cafe, and we were AMAZED by how good the food was. Very classy, and friendly gentleman running the store, we bought a bunch of stuff from the farmer's market as well as it was awesome as well. Can't wait... More

My husband and I eat here often and we have never been disappointed with anything we have tried. Every morsel is a labour of love and you will be rewarded for the amount of time the chef puts in to each dish. Real food made with real ingredients the old-fashioned way - but you won't find a BLT on white... More
