On a recent hot summer afternoon, we enjoyed a leisurely few hours under strategically placed protective sun umbrellas on the deck of the Barking Parrot, casually chatting with friends as we gazed out over tranquil Okanagan Lake. Busy bathers scurried to and fro, clearly enjoying the beach and occasionally engaging the services of the laconic power boat operators who towed... More

We ate there on Sunday, August 24th, 2014. We have been to this restaurant many times over the years and have noticed that the service has consistently been a little "off". The service was much better this time, but maybe we just picked a good day. Food and drinks were good. Enjoyed a relaxing bite and drink.

This place has an awesome patio, with a great view at sunset. A wonderful place to hang out. However, service is often slow - sometimes due to being busy, sometimes its just the people working. The food is good and reasonably priced. If your looking for a quieter place to go though, avoid this place on weekends, as it becomes... More

A group of friends and I had a great lunch at the Barking Parrot last week. The service was excellent and the food very tasty. Beautiful location right on the water. We all enjoyed some very colourful cocktails. We were there mid afternoon so not crowded.

This was in the hotel, and because I didn't want to venture back out into the rain, served the meal purpose well. Beer is cold, and they seem to have lot's, but appetizers when ordered seem to be lacking in substance....I mean it's pub food so what do you want, you won't go wrong here to grab a beer and... More

Had lunch here today. Great tourist crowd with good energy, but the server was not very good. What is it with servers who think they can look grumpy or bored and like they don't want to be there? That attitude will not help them in the tip department. The food is pub food and it's not bad at all. We... More

It looks so attractive to sit almost next to water. The service is slow and not up to standard, considering a resort hotel. The white wine was not cold enough and salad was lack of ingredients.

The Barking Parrot provides all the food and beverage to the beach. It was hot and busy that day but service was fair and food was quite good. Beach staff friendly and attentive
