This is my third visit to Aldo's. First time the food was truly amazing! Crab & lobster ravioli was on special that night & never had a better ravioli since. Second time, it was the outstanding veal entree. This time I noticed the menu consisted more pasta and less on 'meat' choices. Wasn't too sure if the quality held up.... More

I ate at Aldo's on a rainy Thursday evening. I was the only customer, and that contributed to the outstanding attentive service of the pleasant waiter. The food was just above average, I had the California salad, tasted fresh and flavourful, but had way too much lettuce in the mix. The veal scallopini with mushroom sauce was not quite as... More

Have had the pleasure of this little italian gem found in a small italian restaurant on Columbia Street in New Westminster. The food is good, the atmosphere is definitely italian and the staff are friendly family business. The wine selection is decent and the food choices are plenty. I have had several dishes in this establishment and liked them all.... More

I've had Italian a few places around Vancouver, and finally an authentic experience with authentic food. I walked in and the first thing I noticed was the ambiance. It is not much to look at from the outside, but the inside is very warm, and inviting. The second thing I noticed was the smell. It was wonderful and warm, and... More

We were the first table to be seated and presented our coupon and guess what - we were told reservations required. We tried to make reservations before and they were not taking any. What a great business model - sell coupons that require prepayment and reservations and then not take any reservations. Staff was generally rude and did not care... More

I went to this restaurant for my wife birthday. Ordered two plate of pasta. The dish was tiny for $17 a plate and there was exactly 3 thinly slice of sausage. The restaurant was pretty much empty, there was only two other table there. When it time to pay the owner tells us we can not use Credit Card, but... More

I have been here three times, and have found all the pasta dishes excellent. The pasta is not overcooked or held in a steam tray, and the sauces are well-executed. The prices are not cheap ($13 for spaghetti bolognase, $17 for lasagne), but the portions are large. The decor is plain but clean, and the location next to Columbia skytrain... More

The food is so-so.It's lucky I got a discount coupon from Groupon website(a discounted site) or else it would not be worth it. Nothing fancy about the food but the price they charge is really comparable to an Italian Restaurant in Downtown Vancouver. They have the nerves to charge an Gelato ice- cream for $8.00. Also I was disappointed they... More

Decided to give Aldo's Pasta Bar another try since it had been about two years since my last visit (which was kind of average). Reading some of the reviews on DineHere, I can see some trends that reflect my experience. The Good - The younger Italian server was very skilled. Warm, friendly, efficient, and an excellent staff member for running... More
