Lunch at Alladins Cafe was very good. She had the donair, I had lamb shank in sauce, a large meal with feta salad, potatoes, and sweet pickled carrots. The spice combinations were delicious in mine, she enjoyed the flavour of her chicken in a bun very much. The cafe is right off the street not far from the downtown mall,... More

Excellent food, modest prices. Aladdin's Cafe is one of our favourite stops in Nanaimo. They serve Greek and Lebanese cuisine. Everything made on site, vegetarian dishes available and a Greek spinach pie that's the best I've eaten anywhere. The hummus dip is extraordinary. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, service is prompt and courteous. Have I mentioned the awesome Greek... More

Restaurant was packed and the service was very good. The portions were large but the food was bland: The calamari was over battered and not very tasty. Similarly, the tzaziki was bland, the greek salad had very little feta and was bland with a mostly oily dressing. The chicken skewer was tasty, as was the tomato pesto dip and pita... More

I have been to this restaurant several times and every time I have had great food. It is always freshly made. I love the Shrimp focaccia. I also recommend the Lentil Soup. Such flavourful food.

Went for lunch and had excellent food and service. Menu size was perfect. Everything was fresh and atmosphere was nice with a downtown location. Will definitely be back.

I was visiting Nanaimo because my daughter was competing in the BC Summer Games and having been unable to get a seat in the Fireside Grill, a local Nanaimo resident recommended Alladin's Cafe. I walked down the street and was immediately drawn to this quirky little restaurant, the sound of Arabic music luring me in. The food was savoury, the... More

We go to this restaurant/cafe every time we visit Nanaimo, and without fail the food is delicious. Our favorite dishes are chicken souvlaki, kafta kebab, donair Plate and Lamb Kebab. The servers are always pleasant and efficient. I wish there was a Lebanese restaurant like this one in Vancouver.

Had two of their grilled meat dishes for lunch. So good (tender, tasty, excellent rice and veg) that we ordered the same thing for take-out and had it again for dinner the same day! Best Middle Eastern/Mediterranean in BC, not fancy at all, just a regular casual place that obviously focuses on quality. Great service too.

A lebanese-greek based menu is something unusual and Alladins is well worth seeking out. Our lunch consisted of a delicious wrap packed with beef, lamb and a tasty salsa based salad. Locals rate the food highly and we found out about it as one such local said we must try it out. If you do you won't be diappointed by... More

What do I like?? EVERYTHING!! The food is wonderful and always consistent. Very large portions - it is usually our lunch the next day too. Good choices on menu. Great Service - lots of the waitresses have been there for a long time, and know your likes and dislikes. if you haven't been you need to go!
