I enjoyed this meal. Everything was fresh and tasty and served promptly. The server was amazing and made the meal a special event. I recommend the Happy Tuna.

My mom and I really enjoy their lunch special. Good value and tasty. It comes with soup, salad, and two choices of items. The tempura and the curry are always a good choice.

This restaurant has great potential, but due to the dated decor and mediocre food we would not recommend Blue Ginger.

Second time eating from this restaurant. First time we ordered take out and they messed our order up and left the skin on the sashimi. This time we ate in thinking we should give it another shot. The restaurant smells a little like urine. We were seated and given water. I asked for tea and the waitress brought some out.... More

The worst pad thai I have ever tried...basically it was soggy falling apart overcooked noodles with overdose of fish sauce and chillies not pleasent at all! Lacking everything in the dish...they should just take it out of the menu instead of serving a pathetic made up horrible vertion that is honestly embarrasing... Calling that dish pad thai and sell it... More

We stopped in for a late lunch. One chef, one waitress, 3 other tables occupied. Small restaurant in a shopping area. Nice atmosphere. Inventive, tasty, and beautifully presented rolls. We had the happy tuna and the mango salsa. Both were delicious. We will definitely return.

Everything is made fresh and it shows! Delicious - even though it may take a little longer for food to arrive - that is because it's all fresh and hand-made! Innovative menu.

Arrived and ordered a beer, then glanced at the menu. Wow! The photos of both the Sui Mai and Har Gao looked fantastic. And I live in Hong Kong, so I know what I'm talking about. I was delighted to find such authentic Sui Mai in Canada. Or so I thought... Ordered the Siu Mai to get started, as I... More

We stumbled across Blue Ginger whilst in Nanaimo this week, and returned several times simply because of the quality and creativity of the sushi...tempura soft shell crab sushi...chicken satay sushi...just delicious! I agree with other comments saying it isn't authentic Japanese, but then it doesn't claim to be a Japanese restaurant! The selection of sushi and sashimi is outstanding, together... More

Wontons were too hard to eat, haw gow was good, Geoza were rubbery hard and cold. The pad thai used thin noodles. drinks were small.
