I was so expecting to be wowed, that part of this review is just a misunderstanding from a 4 star restaurant referral to getting expected to be wowed. I had the duck breast with a mushroom tarte appetizer, she the house salad, and lamb shank. They were all okay, the prosciutto was slices were way to thick, the mushroom tarte... More

This restaurant is a gem. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by friendly, attentive staff. The menu was varied and unusual, the food was delicious and the atmosphere charming. The absence of loud music meant we could have lovely conversation with our friends without shouting and straining to hear each other. Hopefully when they move at the end... More

The Nest was absolutely amazing. We have never had a meal as good as our 4 course chef's meal at the Nest. A bit of a splurge, but well worth the money. You've got to try this place!

The nest is a little whole in the wall in downtown Nanaimo. There is limited seating so it's best to always make a reservation. The food and service are both great. My husband and I love coming here on date night.

This is a tiny little restaurant with a lot of taste. I wouldn't recommend bringing small children, but for a quiet lunch (or dinner) with friends, this one is a hidden gem. The food feels light and healthy, but tastes great.

I had the pleasure of eating at The Nest Bistro with friends. The atmosphere when you walked in was warm and inviting. Without a doubt the most amazing food by Chef Braun. Those shoestring fries could become mighty addictive. Everything was done to perfection. I savored every morsel. How wonderful an evening to sit and enjoy not only the food... More

This small intimate restaurant has a small menu featuring local ingredients. The food was wonderful and presentation second to none. Desserts are made in house and feature daily specials. We had the ice cream sandwich of the day was a chocolate brownie with a homemade salted caramel ice cream filling. The waitress was very attentive and asked if there were... More
