This little lunch spot has amazing homemade food. Great entrees, sandwiches and soups. They are also open for breakfast. My favorite is their crab sandwich. Stacks of fresh crab with bacon, served with either home made soup or a mixed salad. Their crab cakes are also fantastic, Location is handy, in the downtown section of Nanaimo.

Might have to wait for a table... which says a lot about a place....the food must be good and it was! You can also choose from fresh entrees in the cooler for take out.

We just had the most fabulous breakfast today, and I am writing this review immediately because I loved it soooo much. This place has it right!!! My hubby ordered the daily special, Brownstone Bennie and I ordered the fab french toast. Presentation was extremely artistic and the flavors were a heavenly jive in our mouths. Fresh and exciting food.... The... More

I had a salad with a VERY suggestive name - Menage a Trois! But this salad is all about the fish. There was fresh greens with a fish cake, prawns and candied salmon and it was excellent. 2 Chefs specializes in a limited menu that is very well done with fresh, local ingredients. They're also not open in the evenings... More

I've been to 2 Chefs for lunch 3 times now, have eaten something different each time and each time I've been delighted with the food. Everything is made from scratch, and the care taken in preparing the food shows. It is a very small restaurant and always busy. This time I had mushroom ravioli on a bed of amazing tomato... More

Great food. Fast service, considering everything is made from scratch and temperature always perfect. I did order the French toasts and the egg-bennie ( the vegetarian version with ratatouille of vegetables; not on the menu but always available when I went there) about 25 times each since I moved in town. The eggs are always cook soft when ordered soft,... More

Two weeks later, I remember how good the food and service was. The owner and staff are warm and welcoming. The food was a treat, and the price for breakfast and a fresh scone was cheaper than my usual bacon n'egg place in Duncan. Great flavours and happy staff.

Wasn't feeling too hungry, but was delighted to see the perfectly portioned scrambled eggs and tomato dish. Incredibly flavourful, finished every last bite. The jam, which if I remember correctly is homemade, was phenomenal!

An interesting, small menu. Inventive and different with all dishes hand prepared on the premises. I hope they get a license soon as their meals cry out for a glass or bottle of wine.

Yes we queued and I'd queue again. Great service and yummy food. I seriously struggled to know what to choose, such fresh local food served immediately and with great juice. A perfect start to a great day out in Naniamo
