Decided to try out this establishment based on the many good reviews on Trip Avisor. 1. The atmosphere: Old and antiquated is the best way to describe it, the room was so poorly lit we could barely read the menu. The Restaurant looks like they haven't done any remodeling or renovations since the early 80's. From what we could tell... More

Mamma Rosa's is right downtown so it's close to other things you might want to do. The food was delicious. My husband and I started with the bruschetta Primavera- yum. For our entree we had lobster and shrimp Cannelloni. There were four large homemade cannelloni with a delicious cheese sauce on top. Everything arrived quite quickly even though the place... More

This is obviously a very popular restaurant. On a Sunday, it began filling up at their opening time and was soon full. The service was good - even an allergy to canola oil had been noted on our reservation - and the food was noticeably freshly made and tasty. The bill for two: two soups, two main courses, two beers,... More

2 days ago I was walking at downtown and it was so hot, then I went to this restaurant to have something to drink with desert. One nice waitress let me in. So another lady came to me to take my order and when she knew I would have margarita and tiramisu , she threw me out of the restaurant... More

I'm not sure why this restaurant gets good reviews here. There is so many things wrong with this place.... 1. The food. Pasta was way overcooked, no fresh parmesan (just those cheap pre-ground shakers that smell like dirty socks), and bland flavours. Two in our party ordered the same dish - one arrived with watery carbonara sauce, the other thick... More

Absolutely delicious food and excellent service. It is a family run establishment, which is palpable. We always feel so welcome there. The family takes the time to chat with us and suggests different things for us to try. A real homey feel! Food is amazing...large portions and excellent quality and consistency. I cannot say enough about it. Definitely a must... More

Really, really good. Everything from the menu selection, the service, the food. The location could be better as it is next to an adult store on a darker street but no big deal. The atmosphere is casual and maybe some tables could be spread out a little more .

I was thrilled to have one of the best gluten free pasta dishes ever! The server told us that the owners make their own GF pasta. Usually when I eat this type of pasta I am hungry afterward because there is too much sugar and little fibre in it. But with Mama Rosa's I did not have easy blood sugar... More

We used several web sites to check out Mamma Rosa including TA. They reviews were right. The food here is excellent. We started with olive oil and bread to go with our wine. The entrees were very good with the spinach lasagna a true treasure. Veal was good but ... next time I will order a lasagna likely with spinach.... More
