Great food fast and simple

Great small place. Owners operate and cook and the food was delicious. A place to go back for sure. It seemed busy with people off work and families.

The food is fantastic. Service was great! 100% genuine. Loved that they had free filtered water. You gotta try this little place.

If you are expecting a 5 star gourmet meal with exotic foods you will be disappointed. BUT if you are really hungry for some great home style cooking and be treated like family you will see why 5 stars is a very fair review. Portions are huge so if you have children split an order. Also I believe that they... More

Stopped by here on the way to City Park with friends and family. Busy lunch spot. Just a hole in the wall but everybody comes here for lunch because it's just well prepared, tasty lunch fare at great value. These guys do a smoking business. Be aware: cash only.

There's a reason why it's rated #1 in Kelowna. It ain't fancy, it's just plain ole great food, friendly hospitality and personalized service. It's a lunch time crowd only, the place is only open from 10-2 each day, but the Chili and the Borscht is to die for. Do your fine dining elsewhere, do your quick lunch here, well worth... More

service was great, super helpful and really nice. The food was simple but tasty. My daughter loved the borscht and we loved the cheese steak sandwiches. Steak sandwiches can be dry sometimes but this one was juicy and full of flavour.

I have travelled all over the world. Borscht and cabbage soup are two of my favorites when travelling through the former Soviet countries and eastern Europe. I even make a pretty darn good soup of my own, but these guys just set the bar to a whole new level. The borscht is the best I have ever had and the... More

I read on trip advisor this was ranked in the top 5 resturants to go. It was the dirtiest resturant I have ever been to. The Kitchen was a disaster and they had dirty dish rags laying pretty much on top of sandwiches they were making. The food was ok and you got 2 servings (this would of been nice... More

this place is gold. Better food than any place in kelowna. And all done in a regular stove and oven, a grill and a toaster!! No fancy chef, no fancy kitchen. Just down home flavor and quality. Turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy today was amazing.

What a cool review! Thank you so much! The Holiday Turkey is a great sammie! When Steve and I first bought the Hobo we talked to people in the community about what the Hobo used to offer back in the day.... The Holiday Turkey is one of those sandwiches! The Hobo was established in 1975 and we are the fifth... More

Went to the place from the recommendations of other travellers and it lived up to its praise. The small shop was busy and packed with people but we were still helped right away and still found a spot for 4. The staff was cherrie and kind and helpful, plus the food was amazing. Absolutely nothing to complain about at all,... More
