This is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Kamloops. The food is always fresh and well presented. The service is good (Japanese-style so quite reserved), and there is an excellent selection of sushi and other dishes. Highly recommended.

I ordered a sashimi bento box for lunch, and it came with very small pieces of sashimi and only 5 at that. It felt a little light given the price. Also, the salad and ....tempura??! We're not great. In fact, I think the tempura has been previously deep fried. The salad was 2 pieces of limp lettuce. The fish itself... More

The Sanbiki restaurant is - in my opinion - the go to place for Japanese cuisine in Kamloops, B.C. When you enter the place there are wooden tables with wooden chairs and nothing fancy about the decor. A simple place with great food. The 2 times I went there I had the miso ramen - the first time with a... More

A nice Japanese restaurant in the middle of town. I had the sushi combo for lunch and found the salmon and tuna fresh. the presentation is good and the other selections are good as well. They have bento box specials which I have had in the past... also good and well presented.

The first time I went here was a year ago. We weren't happy with the service, or the quality of the food. Plus we were sat where we could see the kitchen, which was not clean. A friend wanted to order from here, so we tried it again yesterday. The prices are quite high for what you receive, and the... More

We stop in at Sanbiki on every trip through Kamloops, and have never been disappointed. It seems to gain in popularity and is getting busier, but the food is well worth it: Absolutely excellent. Try the kinpura, a real treat! and for the drinkers, try the samplers of the Grandville Island sake. Amazing the difference in each type.

Restaurant is spotless. Food is always fresh and very good. We have tried most items on menu and tuna is a favorite. Service is always attentive.

The owners get their ingredients locally and support the local community. Creative rolls and everything tastes delicious. They could use a waiter because the service can be slow at times when the owner is having to serve and work in the kitchen. Great local beers and ciders. Try the Left Field Cider Co. options.

There a number of Japanese restaurants in Kamloops. I find this is the best but not the cheapest and for good reason. The food is locally sourced, fresh, everything is made in house and authentic. Try the large spicy tuna roll (20 bucks); its HUGE. All the other sushi is fabulous as well. Service can be slow at times but... More

Great to see food locally sourced; the flavours reveal the time and care taken to prepare. Never a bad meal!
