I have visited oriental gardens before to dine in and loved it. Great sushi, great wonton soup. So after. Very long hot day when I had no desire to cook, my boyfriend decided to order delivery. We ordered wonton soup for two, two dragon rolls, two kappa rolls and a California roll totalling 47.25. We called at 5:37pm to place... More

My husband & I stopped in Kamloops on our way to Jasper & Banff and, since we weren't familiar with the area at all, we asked our hotel clerk to recommend a place that SHE would have dinner. With no hesitation at all, she said she and her friends go to Oriental Gardens, and gave us the directions. We found... More

All I can say on a positive note was we were seated fast but that was likely due to there being 10% of the tables used. Decor is dated and needs updating. Our group of 6 had a variety of food. Each one of us had something on our plate that was disappointing. Many things did not appear fresh. As... More

The service was fantastic but the food was very disappointing. Tasted just like what you would get at a mall food court but with a $100 price.

This has to be the best food. Our favourite place to eat ethnic food in Kamloops. A busy place with friendly service, more than enough food served that you can take a doggy bag home. We have been going there for nearly 40 years and have never had a complaint with food or service and it has lovely atmosphere. Highly... More

We have visited this restaurant many times for both the Chinese and Japanese menu; the Chinese food has certainly been better than the Japanese, and overall the food has been fine (Westernised rather than authentic). However, on our last visit this week, we were left disappointed. The quality of the food has gone downhill.. the gyoza was overcooked and dry,... More

We ate after a day on the Rocky Mountineer, the train server recommended it. We both love sushi and after negotiating the menu was not dissapointed. Probaly the best soft shell crab I have eaten for a long time. So wish this was near home.

Best fresh and clean sushi...yet stuck in a chinese food restaurant. We got a booth and closed the doors and had the sake hot. Every single roll was off the charts good. The sashimi was to die for. The four of us were very pleased with our time and money spent. Very good food but where it was lacking was... More

While it looks and is a Chinese restaurant, the place has a sushi bar tucked into the corner. Excellent Japanese chef will prepare custom sushi. Every bite is fresh and flavourful.

If you are looking for a great experience and outstanding sushi, I would recommend the Oriental Gardens Sushi Bar. Try the spicy tuna dish. It isn't on the menu but Hartman will ensure you will be happy. We always have the chefs special with tempura prawns. Best we have found in BC.
