Perfect meal, in a peaceful environment.

We went to celebrate my Mother's birthday with a special dinner at the Quamichan Inn. The grounds are beautifully lit as you drive on to the property. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a friendly hostess, who had a smile on her face. We were taken to one area of the dining room and offered a... read more

Hi, Have had great experiences at the Quam. But even though it was New Years Day and expecting great things even at 1:00 pm, I have to say it was really disappointing. However I will give it another chance.

I've lived in the Cowichan Valley for 15 years and have heard good things about this restaurant. I went last evening with 5 other friends for a birthday dinner and was sorely disappointed. The prime rib was not very tender, the potato dish was strange (no mashed potatoes, just a crusty cube of sorts). I arrived at 6:25 for a... More

New people have taken over the Quamichan Inn from the last time we were there. Unfortunately it doesn't have the same flare or food quality. Too bad because it is really a neat old inn.

While visiting family on Vancouver Island, during the 2014 Christmas Holidays, we found ourselves on our own on the 25th. Unfortunately, all the grandchildren were with their stepdad. Without the additional time and drive, to Victoria, and search for 25th open restaurants in the Duncan area became an afternoon event. Finally, found Quamichan Inn to be open...nice location, short drive,... More

I just had Christmas dinner buffet at the Quamichan Inn. For weeks I was looking forward to it until I saw the food. No mashed potatoes. Turkey was dry and cold. In fact, all of the food seemed like it sat around for some time. The salads were mushy. There was some guy in street clothes maintaining the "warmers". I... More

Cool house down a nice curvy road. Basic food but tastes good. Parking nice and close. 6 to 8 minutes from downtown

We chose this restaurant for our staff Christmas dinner. The soup was cold. You had to cut up the lettuce in the salads because the leaves were huge. The Yorkshire puddings were stale. My salmon was undercooked as were the carrots. The potatoes were....day old? Not one person finished their meal.....that speaks for itself. One of our party is celiac... More

We visited the Quamichan Inn for the 1st time for my 50th birthday. Unfortunately, the restaurants supply of crab had not arrived so we were not able to try the crab and avacado salad nor have crab with steak. We had the oysters and filet mignon for our mains. They were tasty. We had the dessert trio which we shared.... More

The Quamichan Inn is a frequent for a friend and I. Every few Thursdays will we go for dinner and enjoy the cozy setting of the Inn. It is a place that looks like the cottage in Snow White, and the grounds surrounding feature beautiful gardens and the occasional deer. The Quam has a quiet setting, providing private areas for...
