Going Downhill

I understand this place has new owners. We have tried it twice since and I must say I will not be back. We dined on a weekend night around 6pm, I would say the place was about 1/3 full, the buffet was very skimpy, most items we were scraping the bottom of the pan, Sat and waited about 20 min... read more

Went on a payday Friday, lots of take out orders being processed. Had a reservation for 5, sealed ourselves and after 15 minutes had to ask for service and was told "yes, when I get a minute". Ordering from the menu took a very long time, coffee never came. Smorgasbord was empty fast and refilled slow. Though staff were friendly... More

visited recently, we entered the building, and it smelled like a sewer explosion had just happened. We sat by the bathrooms/end of the buffet table. We moved to another seat far from there, didnt smell as bad. We both ordered the smorg. uh GROSS to say it nicely, this used to be a Favorite restaurant.. when Jenny and Peter owned... More

Had dinner with a larger group, most of us had the buffet. Was not too impressed with the food but the most disappointing was that one of us ordered off the menu, never got his food until all of us were done- it went right into a to go container. That meal should have been on the house, but the... More

The woman working as the lone wait staff was running, from the minute we entered until we left. This restaurant was busy! We enjoyed the many dishes on the buffet table, which were all freshened up while we dined. For a quick and easy Sunday supper, this Chinese food buffet was just right.

We went for dinner to Ming's after trying to decide between this place and Ken's. Ming's won out due to people claiming no MSG was added. It was quiet when we first entered and the food was a little cold on the buffet. There was a lot to choose from and the flavours were actually good. About 30 minutes later... More

Not a big fan of Western-style Chinese food but do occasionally order, for take-out, one of their fried rice dishes. Huge portions that are inexpensive make for two days of lunches. Recently changed ownership and the new owners / staff seem to be just as friendly as Peter and Jenny who sold to them. Bernd Williams Lake, BC

My mom & I were in the mood for some Chinese food so we went to Ming's as I had not been there for a long time. We both had the buffet so unable to comment on the menu. The buffet had reg. chinese food - fried rice, sweet & sour pork, noodle dishes. A lot of fried, deep fried... More

Another Canadian Chinese restaurant that always has burger in their menu. Good value. Big portion! Around $10-12/meal feeds 2-3 persons. The food is surprisingly really good. They have buffet for $15.

Wonderful place to eat and take home the next day's lunch, I could never eat a whole meal! We are sad to see Jenni move to Vancouver but she is taking a much deserved rest and off on a new adventure! Good luck and Thank you for your great service and wonderful friendly smile. This was a regular spot for... More
