I had tried to visit this restaurant once before, but left as no one came out from the back to seat me.So, I tried again on May 6. Got seated fairly promptly, and got a drink after about 5 minutes. I was pretty excited as there are lots of good reviews on TA. Ordered a steak M rare. Steak came... More

My wife is in the hospital and this is within walking distance. They promptly seated me and it was fairly empty at 5:00. At 5:30 there was a waiting line! They give you chips and salsa while your dinner is being prepared. I had the Tilapia with rice and refried beans. The food had great taste and was piping hot.... More

just ok...went in on a thurs. evening...few tables. Lots of rice and refried beans made the entrees big. Beef soft corn tacos & beef enchiladas were just ok. Told kitchen was closed so couldn't try any dessert.

My husband and I each ordered different meals; when you arrive, you are properly seated and are served home made salsa with tortilla chips....these are great tasting with the salsa. Our meals were excellent when they arrived.

In the heart of the Canadian praries it isn't easy to find real Mexican dining. This is the place. Good menu and selection. Great location and parking. Try it.....I liked it!

Very tasty meals, good size but not too huge. Service was friendly and decor a step or ttwo up from fast food, comfortable but not lavish. Would definitely go back.

I read all of these reviews and I find it laughable that a bunch of Canadians are raving about how "authentic" this retaurant is. I AM Mexican and I am from Southern California. My family and I make REAL authentic Mexican food. Las Palmeras isn't even close to being authentic, let alone Mexican food. The first and only time I... More

The restaurant is very good, and we have been there several times before:) It is above average to excellent. We felt that the restaurant staff are elegant and classy. This is not a fast food place; so, if you are in a hurry for lunch (for example during your work week), you may feel stressed if the service is not... More

I've only eaten here once but I buy the salsa at least once a month as it is amazing!! The food was good, everything came with rice and refried beans - rice was mediocre. My meal came with fresh guacamole which was very tasty too. Margaritas are delicious and well made. Service was good, friendly and efficient. we went on... More

Very nice ambiance and great staff. Do not let the negative reviews fool you, this place is great. Very fresh, best salsa ever and not over priced at all! Try the flauntas with a mohito and then some beef fajitas. Beautiful!
