Arracheras

Small, comfy venue. Delicious free salsa and chips as appetizer. Had the prime rib (arracheras?) that was marinated and grilled. Side of rice, corn tortillas and reformed beans. This was the biggest waste of money thus far during my trip to Red Deer. The food is almost-certainly pre-packaged (the waitress told me that I couldn't have a burrito made without tomatoes because it was pre-rolled), they served us Uncle Ben's rice, and the food made me sick. Also, who puts feta cheese on frijoles? The salsa that they... More

I ate here on a recent trip to Red Deer and was pleasantly surprised. I'm a fan of Mexican food and have it regularly when in southern California so I wasn't expecting much in central Alberta. I had the chicken enchiladas which were very good and the rice side was flavourful. The only downside is the complimentary chips that started... More

If you are in town definitely go to Las Palmeras if you like Mexican food. The portions are huge, the staff are friendly and it's a very nice atmosphere to be in. Really good for dates and couples.

Ate here for the first time after seeing lots of great reviews but we found it to be very boring and lacking in flavor. The service was fine and the drinks we order were your typical Margarita and Pina colada. But wouldn't suggest to others

This was the restaurant where my wife and I went on our first date in 1996, they have since relocated but the authentic Mexicali cuisine is excellent and they can make it a bit warm(spicy) if that is what you like as well.

The food was wonderful. Fresh, well seasoned and satisfying. Burritos, fajitas, quesadillas as well as chicken and beef sauted in tequila. The meal was the tastiest we had during our stay in Red Deer. Sometimes it can be hard to please 11 people, but this restaurant not only managed but exceeded expectations. The service was warm and friendly and very... More

I visited this restaurant and my first thought when I opened the menu was oh oh!! Why you ask?? The first item in the menu of this MEXICAN restaurant was Caesar salad!! I had an inkling this wasn't going to work out and felt I made the wrong choice between dinner or yoga. The meal arrived and it looked ok... More

On the south hill right off of Gaetz ave, Las Palmeras has delicious margaritas, great appetizers and a good selection of entrées. They take reservations and can accommodate a good size party. Great Mexican delight!

A great atmosphere, food is tasty, but small portions. Service poor. A good option if you run out of other options. We will not eat here again. We made a simple request that they replace our nacho chips on the table with flour tortillas and they refused. Portions were small. You left hungry.
