Looks like they updated their menu since our last visit - well done. The meal was great and our waitress was very attentive.
I am always happy when someone suggss we go to Las Palmeras. My favourite is chicken quesadilla. I really like their salsa, to me it tastes really fresh. I do like cilantro, which they use.
We can go there any time of the year and expect the best mexican in canada. And as close as real that i have seen also!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have given it the benefit of the doubt but after 3 unsuccessful good dining experiences we have written this one off. It was terrible every time and we were very fortunate apparently as it has come to our attention that 4 of our aquaintences have actually come down with serious gastric cramping and vomiting .......????? Will not ever go... More
We have dined here many times, the food is consistently excellent. What else can I say?? We will be back. A nice place to bring out of town guests.
Now I am not big on Mexican food, but I was dragged to this place by my group, so what can you do? I tried the pupusas and I must was surprised they were good! I have had them before made by Salvadoran friends and it was comparably good. the chicken tostadas was delicious and so were the complimentary nachos... More

This place serves the best I've had since moving to Canada. I had the beef enchiladas, my boyfriend had the beef burrito. Both were outstanding! My only complaint is... More

Food was delivered hot and the meat was delicious but an over use of cilantro ruined the salsa and over powered the meat flavours. Refried beans and rice side were tasteless . The meal was almost over when we were... More

The inside was insignificant, almost not worth whatever effort was put into it. Ok. The enchiladas, two folded over flour tortillas filled with some sort of tomato based beef hash under a melted slushy of... More
A good tortilla is hard to find - but look no further than Las Palmeras in Red Deer - on the west side of Gaetz just above the river valley on the southside. The food is good and damn, they make a fine Mojito!
