Stopped in for lunch with the wife and daughter and tried 2 different soups, both good and I had a steak sandwich, not so good. Hardly any steak but lots of bread. My daughter enjoyed her bacon grilled cheese sandwich. Service was friendly and the place was clean. Price was on the high side $65 inc tip.

Also reviewed under "Westlake Grille": Maybe we chose an "off night" to celebrate a special occasion, but we left feeling a bit underwhelmed. When menu prices are a bit steeper ($42 for a steak with chips), one expects the whole package. While the location was beautiful and the food was gourmet and delicious, the service and atmosphere lacked finesse and... More

Ouch... very sorry to hear that you feel that way about the ranch. We do take a lot of pride in what we do and I'm not sure what circumstances you were here under. Perhaps try stopping around just after Christmas time and you will love the Christmas decor and spirit of the place. All the best. Joel More

This restaurant can also be found reviewed under Westlake Grille. This entire property with horseback riding, wagon & sleigh rides, etc.is owned by the City Of Red Deer and the Westlake Grille is the restaurant. It would be an excellent stopping off point on your trip between Calgary and Edmonton. Red Deer is halfway between these two points. HR is... More

We enjoyed lunch at the Heritage Ranch Restaurant in early August. Location could be a bit difficult to find, as it is away from the commercial part of Red Deer in a ranch setting. Menu had lots of different and innovative items. Meals were well presented and servings were very ample. I had an Elk burger, which was very tasty!... More

I would rate this 5/5 if it wasn't for the menu experience. The food took a bit longer than expected - but was fresh, good amount, flavourful. Kids menu is kinda small & $8 - with no drink or dessert BUT yummy. My toddler got the chicken fingers & fries (he LOVES fries) but he didn't even touch the fries... More

The brunch was delicious. A self serve buffet style lunch. I ate waaaayyy too much but it was all so good. Lobster Mac & Cheese, Eggs Benny, Brisket, fresh crepes, Steamed Veggies, & so much more. The desert was also amazing, can never have enough chocolate covered strawberries! We sat outside on the patio which was surrounded by gorgeous trees.... More

The trail ride was great! Food was and always is fabulous. But we offered a bottle of wine with our meal and were peeved to say the least when we found said wine in the store at a fraction of the price. 33$ in restaurant, sold at the local liquor store for 8.99$

We love serving amazing food and we check our pricing regularly to ensure we remain competitive without having to drop our food quality... It's a difficult balance as I'm sure you can understand. We will be rolling out a new wine list shortly. Cheers Joel More

We took my father out for Father's Day brunch to Heritage Ranch. Although I had been there for lunch (hence my return visit) it was the first time for the other seven others. Everything was amazing. The atmosphere, the fact that it was in a park, the food was incredible in both it's variety and quality. The dessert table was... More

My husband and I went for a late buffet brunch on Sunday with another couple for the first time. The buffet has a great selection of very tasty, flavourful food. The service was prompt and friendly. There is an outside patio, but we sat inside as it was a little cool that day. This place has a rustic, ranch atmosphere... More
