Came to the Westlake Grill for the first time, very nice location and surroundings. Antipasto appetizer was excellent, but for dinner I had to send my steak back twice as it was not cooked correctly either time. As well the two friends with me had their steaks over cooked, but they didn't say anything. When we were leaving, the manager... More

What a nice little spot especially for Red Deer. Very easy to get to and tucked away within the city. Very simple decor but the food is excellent and offered lots of organic and gluten free choices. Hope they will offer gluten free beer soon and also bottled mineral water. But seems they are starting out with low overhead and... More

Okay....I'll admit I'm not a big fan of Beef....but sometimes a grilled steak or A-1 cut of beef can be sublime if grilled to perfection. A 'Rare' treat. And, where else in Canada would you expect to find the best Beef? Alberta....Bingo ! I took my wife and Australian friend and steered them to Westgate expecting some grilled Beef to... More

We came here with friends on a Sunday afternoon for a late brunch. The buffet had a wide variety of very tasty food. The food is full of flavor, service was great and the atmosphere is rustic ranch style, as one would expect! There is a wood burning fireplace which probably makes a winter visit very welcoming. We will certainly... More

After a less than spectacular first visit to Westlake, I had put up a review here on tripadvisor. The Owner commented on my review, apologized and suggested that we try visiting again. It's not everyday you see the owner comment or even care that people had a less than great experience at their establishment. We decided to give it an... More

My wife & I visited the Westlake Grill at Heritage Ranch on a Sunday night so it was not busy. The ambience was very relaxing, nice music not too loud. The waitress was friendly and attended to our needs well. I had the prime rib special which was well done rather than the medium rare I ordered, but that was... More

This is a pleasant surprise for Red Deer. The menu has some regular items like burgers but they are served with flair in a nice setting (Heritage Ranch). There are also some unique menu items like the lobster and bacon sandwich or the bbq elk meatball sandwich. Fries are homemade and delicioso! Salads and soups are fresh and homemade. Service... More

Nice place for a quiet dinner, nice change from some of the other local hotspots that are very noisy. Small menu, will return in the summer for Burger night. Not a fan of the kettle chips: tasted like burnt French fries. The price of an entre would indicate a higher quality side than that. Loved the cranberry apple dessert!
