Tremendous Date Night

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful evening here. We started with a lovely carriage ride that helped set the mood. Our table was lovely - private, quiet and perfect for two. Our meal was a fixed menu with a choice of three mains. The fresh bread and butternut squash soup were both delicious. My wife... read more

This place is habit forming. We have had lunch here twice in the last week or so. The food is freshly prepared and beautifully plated. My husband loves the Mushroom Ravioli while I opt for one of their salads and soup. It is vital to leave room for dessert if you have a sweet tooth. I have tried the Creme... More

Enjoyed lunch on the deck after our walk on the ranch trails. Argentinian Chicken Burger w/Beet & Watermelon Salad (beet & balsamic dressing). Great food. Great presentation from cranberries floating in the glasses of water to a steak knife with a pickle/cherry tomato stabbed into the burger. Great Service. Great treed setting. Everything was great. Thanks.

Fabulous place to enjoy a dinner without the kids. Since my husband was leaving for out of town, we decided to have an early Valentines dinner (Feb.10th). This was our first time at the Westlake Grill and we were not disappointed! We were seated at a small corner table upstairs, perfect for two. The view was amazing with the snowy... More

This was our first visit to Westlake Grill and we were looking forward to the experience. The menu had a good selection but seemed a bit overpriced. That being said I never mind paying for local sourced, and well made food. Unfortunately the meals were inconsistent. My lamb was very good but cooled down fast. My guest ordered the ribeye,... Thank you for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed the lamb and I trust the flavors of the Jack Daniels and Rickards infused Ribeye were enjoyable. With regards to the burger, it is unfortunate that your guest did not enjoy it. Just so you are aware... there was no charge for the burger. In defense of our Chef, if you have... More

Thank you for sharing your evening with us and we are extremely pleased you enjoyed it as much as you did. I do apologize for any delay with the server... they are instructed to hang back a bit on the date nights so you can enjoy each others company but I will definitely ensure we don't leave you waiting. Thank... More

We attended this restaurant for the Sunday Brunch as we had heard great things ; however, found it poor value for the price. The service was great as was the atmosphere; however, 2 of the food trays ( the eggs benedict and the pancakes were empty with only 1 benedict and 2 pancakes in them respectively) The hashbrowns, bacon and... Very sorry to disappoint you on your brunch. Our brunch generally is well received so I am surprised to hear that . With regards to the brisket, it is a 12 hour smoked brisket and generally simply falls apart (medium rare is not available if that was what you were looking for). I believe our crepe station was up and... More

My boyfriend and I came here for a special dinner and it was wonderful!!! Neither of us had been here and I was the only one that had heard anything about Westlake Grill. The inside is rustic and comfortable.....exposed beams in the ceiling, fireplace, and small intimate tables. Very romantic place. We chose for the appetizer the Coconut Lime Shrimp... More

Rustic setting. Nice wood burning fireplaces. Starters were great. Lamb starter better than most entries at other places. We had two starters, two mains, two desserts, wine and tea. Bill came to under 140. Lovely place for a date.

The Westlake Grill is a bit of a hidden treasure in Red Deer. It's off the beaten path, away from the main drags, and is definitely worth the effort to visit with your better half or a small group of friends. Located at Heritage Ranch, the decor and atmosphere lends itself to a rustic romantic evening of fine dining. The... More

It was a get together of family, driving from 3 destinations. Sunday brunch is the only thing from 10-2, which is very pricey for what was provided in the brunch. We arrived at 1, a lot of the food was not fresh, appeared to be sitting there for sometime. The eggs Benedict were cool, could not even cut through the... More

Hi Ida Thanks for the feedback. We are working on the items you mentioned... It is a bit difficult to hear however, I'm not sure there was anything that could be done to make you happy? We refunded 50% of your meal. Every other table in the building was coming to us and saying how amazing everything was... sorry... maybe... More
