Very popular among the locals. The portions are large sadly, the food quality is mediocre. Could be so much more.
I was very pleased with my experience. It's hard to find fresh fishs and I got delicious sword fish. Moreover the wine selection was excellent and I got my Spain red to go with it. Staff was very courteous, meal was ready in a timely manner and the atmosphere was great with the fireplace center piece . There is place... More
My husband I went to Tumbleweeds for a Valentines DInner. It was delicious. We started with the coconut crusted shrimp, and caesar salad(delicious homemade dressing) I had the lobster ravioli and my husband had the sesame crusted salmon. We love the choice of sides available at Tumbleweeds, especially all the grilled veggies and biscuits that are served with meals. Tumbleweeds... More
I had the 'certified Angus' special recently while working in Med Hat and I was pretty underwhelmed. A thinnish average piece of beef with a bunch of silver gristle, and to undercook (blue-rare, not the desired medium rare) only half of such a thin piece was surprising. (I just finished working about 11 hours without lunch and didn't want to... More
We visited Tumbleweeds this past weekend. I hadn't been there in a while because I was so put off with my last visit there. (We were in the lounge the last time and it felt like we were at some shady bar with all the trashy people, staff included, and the food was awful) So.....this time, I specifically asked to... More
6:15 pm and they were out of Mousakka on Greek night......and the restaurant was virtually empty. Food was grossly overpriced and served by a rather crusty server. Oh and the finest Okanagan wines taste a bit off.....its because of the fine mist of Windex as she stood on the bar and cleaned the back mirror pretty well coated the upturned... More
Went for a nice romantic dinner on the recommendation of the nearby hotel stuff. The total meal experience was excellence. The food was extremely tasty and the staff was there for serve our every need. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone coming to Medicine Hat.
It is a Greek restaurant and the the menu had good choices and the vine list was well above average. The service was exceptionally good and efficient.
I have been at Tumbleweed's about 4 years ago and now. Both times was a satisfying experience. Its a bit upscale and so are the prices. But good meals and the steak was prepared well. Good choice of beers and wines per glass. Service was friendly and quick.
Way off the beaten path as not in the downtown area per se. Kind of hidden but make a point of finding this restaurant. Fine dining at its best. Dining room neatly appointed with table linens. As we were on a road trip, we were dressed casually. We sat in a booth located in the lounge and had the same... More
