My current vacation in Canada has been built around TripAdvisor reviews and recommendations. This choice of restaurant is one of many frequented or on the list. I emailed Evil Dave's to ask about children in the restaurant and they were super friendly and welcoming to our family. We went tonight on arriving in Jasper only 90 mins earlier. The restaurant... I came to eat one night and it was quiet busy, we waited to be sat which we did not mind as the servers were all busy, we ordered drinks and apps, which one was forgotten and had to be asked for, again that was okay because people forget, we had the soup and lollypop shrimp and were very pleased!... Every time we're in Jasper we like to visit Dave's place. The food is always good the service friendly and well we just enjoy it. Ouar last visit we had along our daughter, her husband and our 18 month old grandson. Well the staff were more than helpful with the little fella and made sure he wasnt ignored. The service... More

The brie starter and the meatloaf were cooked well and we enjoyed them, but this place is pricey and although quite busy, didn't have the best atmosphere or service. The decor is also kind of strange... you're supposed think of evil things, right? Well then, explain the gold stars hanging from the ceiling? Good list of cocktails and beers, but... More

Had a good meal here the place is full of atmosphere and is hectic. I booked a table but had to wait 10 mins before I could take it. Hey ho it s that sort of restaurant but not a problem to me. Good menu choices and the food was cooked very well. The price was reasonable. I suppose the... More

We enjoyed our dinner but it was a bit pricey. If you ignore that fact (and I didn't say that it wasn't worth it), they have a very good menu with creative twist on standard items (like meatloaf). Drinks are also very good. We'd go back

This was great. The previous night we'd gone to the most hyped restaurant in town and found the food good, but the atmosphere a problem. By contrast, Evil Dave's was an ideal combination. The food was lovely - I had halibut with a delicious salsa - and the atmosphere was really pleasant, lively but without people being crammed in. Of... More

Interesting food choices with evil names. Had a great meal with their family selection which gave us a nice selection of their menu.

Thanks for the positive review. We started the family meal this summer and it's been a big hit. The lollipop shrimp and bulgogi beef and green onion cake are nice little samples for 4. The blackened salmon filet and Hell's Chicken are both served separately over jasmine rice and the side of vegetables are lightly seasoned. We recommend the dish... More

I had the El Diablo chicken. It was very hot and spicy and really delicious. There was a smoky taste in the perfectly grilled chicken breast. The (really) spicy chipotle cream sauce was probably the best I've had. My husband had the steak and shrimp which was perfectly prepared as well. The food (and service) was so good I just... More

Thanks for the great review. We marinate and butterfly the chicken breast and grill it to order, it locks in the freshness. I'm dairy free now and miss the chipotle cream sauce so much. We tried using coconut milk instead but it just didn't have the same richness or spice level. So glad you enjoyed everything and shared it with... More

Absolutely excellent kitchen backed up with great service. Expensive, yes but still wonderful value. The Calamari prepared with great skill and the meatloaf as flavorful and wholesome as you could wish.
