Recommended by staff on the Rocy Mountaineer!

My dad wanted to take us out for a steak dinner, so we asked for a suggestion. It is about a mile from downtown, so were pleasantly surprised when our van driver from the Fairmont JPL dropped us off at their doorstep! My dad doesn't walk far, so we had him in a wheelchar. We were seated quickly... read more

We asked our hotel staff for a restaurant recommendation. They suggested Prime Rib Village and we were not disappointed! After a day of sightseeing, we arrived early and the lounge was open. It has a smaller menu but the atmosphere was lovely and we ordered a prime rib sandwich with dipping sauce and a combo plate of ribs and chicken... More

We arrived a bit late at the Tonquin Inn and decided to eat at the attached restaurant - big mistake. The place was virtually empty. We were seated quickly enough and a server brought water and menus - good start. Eventually someone came to take our orders. We wanted to order drinks but were never given an opportunity (well, we... The restaurant is under new management. Over-priced. 6 oz prime rib for $24 Limited menu. Couldn't get beer on tap as they couldn't change a keg. No wonder the place was deserted. Wish we went to L&W

Arriving tired at the Tonquin Lodge, we opted for this on-site restaurant. The main area is an open space with some large tables, apparently to accomodate motor coach tours that frequent the large lodge. We accrepted the offer of a table in a smaller area that was somewhat separate. Our waiter, Bob, was quick to provide menus, water, take our... More

Great breakfast, but the dinner menu could use an update, some in our party had prime rib were happy with it, it seems to be the specialty.

Ate here as part of a tour supplied dinner. Prime rib was OK. Just barely warm. Service was good and staff friendly.

Ate here on a warm early June evening so sat outside on the small "terrace". Service was efficient if not friendly and the food - prime rib of course - was well enough cooked but no more than of average quality. Salads & baked potato accompaniments were also "OK"

A great little restaurant on the edge of town, we ate here twice out of a three night stay, returning for the third night after a disappointing dinner elsewhere on the second. Nice friendly staff and really good prime rib steaks

Last night in Alberta, so we needed to eat the excellente beef from this province. Prime rib was succulent. My wife enjoyed the salmon with cranberrt sauce. Reasonable prices.
