Good food

We were staying at the Tonquin Inn so this was an easy choice for us. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. We thought they had a very good menu. The food was excellent and well presented.

Don't belive in the name of this restaurant as what you see in NOT what you get. Before we placed our order we asked the waitress what the house special was and she pointed out at the prime rib and said it was cooked daily in house for 6 hours and it's is I fact a house speciality. After waiting... More

We made reservations here last minute, and, they had room. Awesome. Over the phone we were told that it's a buffet style prime rib dinner. The food was presented galley style, and included chicken flavoured rice(?) steamed mushrooms in some sort of sauce, salmon, but by the time we got there, it was out, baked potato in tin foil, mashed... Most pathetic excuse for prime rib I have ever seen or tasted. I am notsure why they have called themselves "prime rib city". Very expensive for what you get. You are given two choices with your sad, grisled, cold piece of meat. I chose baked potato and veggies. The veggies were beats and I am unsure of what was mixed... More

We started off with complimentary warm bread and butter, which was tasty. We ordered the mussels in wine sauce and were not disappointed (noted though that it should have been served with some more bread, but we didn't bother asking). We were going to have the prime rib, but ended up deciding on the baby back ribs and the rib... More

Loved the elegant but not over the top dining room. Service was perfect and the prime rib, specialty of the place, was excellent!.

A local gal recommended this Restaurant. The bar has specials that can be ordered there and we had a very good prime rib sandwich. Give it a try
