Tekarra Lodge is about 1km south of Jasper, with this splendid restaurant open to non-residents. This is fine dining indeed, refined, opulent and efficient. As there was local game on the menu, we tarted with Elk Toutiere and Bison Sous Vide, both excellent, though there were at least two or three other starters that were very tempting. The we both... Truly impressive, every course is an experience, and some of the food is among the best I've ever tasted. I'm still craving the 'scallop-hoisin pork belly-jackfruit' combination. This is the only restaurant that I have ever been to where the visual experience goes so far beyond the food itself. It is also the only restaurant I've been to that creates... More

I'm an extreme foodie. When I want to impress friends or clients, this is it. I've never taken anyone to this restaurant who didn't declare it the best food they've ever eaten in their life. Literally everyone. There are no comparable places in the country. I can't recommend that you eat any one item because when I visit here I... More

My wife and I had a meal here whilst visiting Jasper. Food is expensive but worth it. We both had the steak which was cooked exactly how we asked. Service was good and atmosphere was pleasant.

I have been coming here every trip to Jasper since we accidentally discovered it about 10 years ago. This restaurant is my favourite in Canada, hands down. (When we travel, finding excellent cuisine is on the top of our list). I was there October 3 with two friends. They had the steak and I had the duck. We were all... More

We went here for our first anniversary dinner. The food was outstanding, and our server was incredible. The restaurant itself is unpretentious and has a great atmosphere. Great wine selection as well. Can't wait to come back here.

We had a far better meal here than I expected in a tourist town in high season. Great food and service and a deep wine list. Traditional, informal alpine ambiance. Just south of the town site above the river. We stayed in Tekarra's cabins as kids in the 70s and they still look inviting.

Location/Atmosphere: Having cooked most meals while on our Banff and Jasper vacation, we decided to treat ourselves to an intimate gourmet dinner for our last night. Tekarra Restaurant was an excellent choice in which to splurge. The restaurant is located at Tekarra Lodge just 1 mile south of Jasper, on Hwy 93A/Hazel Rd. We were staying at Alpine Village Cabin... Let me put it simply. It was so good that we came back for dinner the next day too! The food is creative and very tasty. The service is refined, unobtrusive and focused on making your experience as good as it can be. This restaraunt should be number one in Jasper.

I eat out a lot as part of my work (as well as for pleasure!) and I cannot say enough about this meal. Everything was incredible...I had a tasting of several items and every last one was divine. What really sealed the deal for me was my mouthwatering venison dish, which was the most superbly cooked venison I have ever... More
