This was our second visit to Syrahs and we were extremely pleased with our visit.Love the candle lite look of the room ,and very attentive service. Our waiter was well versed in the menu and was able to answer all our questions. My partner tried the soup of the day and loved it.For main course I had the free range chicken... More

Overall we were thrilled with the experience! The atmosphere was romantic and quiet. The server was professional, quick, and knowledgable. My boyfriend and I shared the Roasted Cauliflower and Parmesan Spread and the Syras Caesar Salad, which were both delicious. Then we had the Bison Ragout, which was equally amazing! We finished with the homemade ice cream and a chai... More

We were there on a Friday in October. We had been to the previous incarnations of this restaurant in the past and have always loved it, but based on our experience we have to conclude it has gone downhill with the new ownership. Our waiter was very attentive. I cannot fault the service though I was a bit surprised to... More

We stumbled upon Syrah on the main road in Jasper and were drawn in by their compelling menu. We had the onion tart and salad as a starter. The tart is to die for and the home made biscuit and butter were amazing. I ordered the Bison ragout and my fiancée ordered the New York steak. Both meals were exquisite... More

Syrah's was a delight. Selected randomly whilst walking around the township of Jasper. Great service, great food and great wine. Service was welcoming from the moment we walked in. We were provided very tasty amuse-bouche upon seating and between courses. The restaurant provided ambience for our dinner for two. The waiter responded both knowledgeably and conversationally to our requests as... More

Wonderful food, great atmosphere (we sat at the little table on the window, which is great if you don't mind people walking by looking at your food). The service was good but surprised how little the waiter knew about the wine and how the food was prepared. The pear tart was the smallest dessert I have ever seen in my... More

Very good restaurant - if we lived in the area we would definitely go back. An amuse-bouche before we ordered was a nice touch. For appetizers we had the elk carpaccio and the scallops - the carpacicio was very good but the cold scallops were an odd concept that didn't quite work for us. Good flavors though. Duck was the... This cosy restaurant was a real find. The ingredients are interesting and local where possible. Imaginatively put together and beautifully presented. the staff were welcoming and helpful and the wine list complimented the meal well, combined with a good knowledge of Canadian wines. A real unexpected gem.

Booked a table here for our anniversary and what an excellent choice! The food was lovely and our waiter was so attentive. When we booked we were asked if were celebrating anything. At the end of our meal we were presented with a lovely plate of various desserts with 'Happy Anniversary' written in chocolate which was a really nice touch.
