Good food but temperature issue

The food was good - but we had a few issues which are unexpected when you pay such a high price. Our starters were lovely - I had the crab cake, he had the leek and potato soup. Both were actually delicious. For our mains I ordered the salmon - It was also delicious. He ordered a steak (medium... read more

We were lucky enough to be able to have our 25th Anniversary Dinner at the Moose's Nook. We were treated like royalty by the staff and had a complimentary drink and dessert for our anniversary. My husband was able to have his favourite song played by the band. It is a nice feature to have live entertainment in the restaurant.... More

While on a weekend away, my wife and I chose to stop at The Moose's Nook at Jasper Park Lodge. And we made the right choice. The concierge took our reservation earlier in the day, we chose to eat later in the evening. We were seated promptly and the wait staff were amazing. The ambiance in the dining room was... More

We ate our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners in the main dining room with hundreds of others, but had our Boxing Day dinner here at the Moose's Nook. It's a funny feeling when you're at a resort with some of the world's most gorgeous views, but eating in a room that has no windows! Other than that, however, we... More

A small party of us dined here one evening. The food was excellent and servings good sized. So much so, that dessert was a struggle, so we shared desserts. The pianist came around and asked for favourites so the whole atmosphere was one of old world dining which was enhanced by the panelling in the restaurant. Service was very good... More

The Crab cake appetizer and iceberg wedge salad were both very good. The bison tenderloin was fabulous. The wine pairings were bang on. Only problem...no room for desert. The service was excellent.

Delicious meal, tableside ceasar salad preparation and a delicious pork chop entree recommended to me by the hotel concierge. Pianist okay - mainly old standards and light tunes, suitable for dining.

Pianist playing by the wire, dark wood paneling, good food and very good service. We had the mushroom Thermidor with lobster and crab which was very good. The trout was ok. The hot chocolate is excellent.

This is a beautiful restaurant and the food and service was very good. A nice touch with the piano player while enjoying a great dinner.
