Nice setting and good food

Had dinner here one night while staying at the Lodge. Lovely setting with plenty of room. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food that we had was lovely. Tried Venison for the first time and it was lovely. Very nice spot for Dinner.

The ambiance of this dining area is that of a hunting lodge. I had breakfasts in here during my stay. The food was nice.

The Moose's Nook has average food and service for the price. The steak was chewy and the baked potato dry. All the wine was from British Colombia and over priced. We did enjoy our desert. Best restaurant we found in the hotel. Suggest taking a taxi to town if you want a special dinner.

The food gets a 5, but service a 2. Very, very, very slow...... You will have to repeat your drink order several times, and then remind them again. Prices are very high for the quality and service.

We have had some very good dinners on our trip, but dinner here was fabulous! Started off with the forager salad, served with a fig honey vinegarette, very light and refreshing. The bison tenderloin was delicious and very tender. I ended the meal with the cheesecake which was good, but tasted my hubby's chocolate dessert which was delicious.

We celebrated an anniversary dinner at the Moose's Nook and had a delightful evening. Located in Jasper Park Lodge this spacious restaurant is a very comfortable and inviting. Extraordinary crafted wooden tables & chairs with intimate lighting against a backdrop of original Canadian over sized paintings displayed throughout, sets the stage for a fantastic culinary experience. All the while a... More

What an introduction to Canadian food and wine, although a bit pricey by Canadian standards, it is well worth it. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was wonderful. The restaurant manager

We had the venison which was cooked to perfection. On our return we were planning to try the bison but unfortunately we didn't book a table & so were unable to dine there. Had the Bison burger in the terrace bar which was good.

Our visit to the Moose's Nook began with a lost reservation, which was made by the front desk. After waiting 15 minutes, we were given a table amongst three large tables of bus tourists. No a romantic setting by far. Needless to say as our waiter had over 20 diners to serve, we had slow service. The food was nicely... More

The lodge may be rustic, but this restaurant has a very sophisticated menu, friendly and professional wait staff, and wonderful food. The shrimp cocktail may have been the best I've ever eaten and the venison rack was outstanding. Only the dessert (a creme brûlée) disappointed slightly. There was live piano music with dinner, a nice addition until the noise in... More
