Great value, great price

This has hands down the best breakfasts in fort mcmurray. It also has terrific dinner specials for prices not often seen in this town. You can get some of the best fish and chips on special for $10.00 and the jambalaya will have you coming back for more. This is a must eat for the single person... read more

You really cannot miss eating here, was recommended by family who had eaten there 3 years before, and they said it is still excellent. The building and interior is not brand new, tired to say the least, but then again a traveller knows

Always enjoy the friendly servers and basic home style cooking. Their soup and sandwich special is one of the better bargains compared to Fort McMurray high prices.

Stopped in for wings last night around 5pm - worst food ever, had to go across the street to Brewskis afterward to have a real meal. Not sure what happened used to be great food at this place and fun atmosphere. Place was absolutely empty, ordered 2 beer chicken wings, calamari and dry ribblets. Calamari and ribblets looked the same,... More

My job site is right beside this place. Stay in Mac 3 nights and eat lunch here all 4 days. Daily special is a good deal. Service was great. It's an old diner style place. So atmosphere it just that. Family friendly and laid back. I'm in Mac for 6 months and will eat lunch here lots.

Stopped in for breakfast one morning, what a waste of time and money. Around half an hour to bring out my 2 eggs, hash browns , toast and sausage. I sat in the pub part, there were 3 other customers so not sure what the delay was. The gal who took my order seemed to be learning english, the sausage... More

I word at a pub and sympathize for servers for many scenarios. This server, however, came up with every excuse (not even sincere) why our food never showed up in the first hour. The pub had half empty seat, but apparently had a wedding dinner on the dinner side. It finally came, 2/4 dinners were rang in wrong. She took... More

Took two of my Co-Workers here for lunch, as we were doing some work in that area. We like it here for the quality and large portions they give you, and it is always busy, because it has a good reputation with the working class around this area. Try it, and you will like it.

The greeter/waitress/owner greeted us warmly. The ambiance was comfortable and informal. Think Humpty's. Unfortunately, the food was also Humpty's quality. My soup was so salty that I couldn't eat it and even my kids had trouble with their meals. Avoid this place and try the Prime at the Radisson next door, where we had a great meal.

This picture (is that a paper plate?) pretty much sums up the "food" at McRay's. We went to the Thickwood location/Gino's. The food at the other one in Gregoire is not much better.
