Excellent Mother's Day Brunch

My youngest treated us to brunch here for Mother's Day. The restaurant had a special 3-course menu with several choices for starter, main and dessert. Highly anticipating dining experience at Wildflower... dashed by an average type of meal for a very expensive bill. found some interesting wine sold by the glass, it was more memorable than the short ribs or gnocchi.

Very impressed with Wildflower the other night. There is clearly a dedication to local and creativity that is focussed on bringing out the best of the food and not just being creative for creative's sake. The menu is well focused on local proteins (elk, bison, lamb) plus B.C. Seafood. For starters, the scallops with polenta cakes were perfectly cooked and... More

I was excited to try out this restaurant after hearing a lot of good things about it. I was told "the best food of your foodie life" when I tried here it was so blah. We had three different dishes which we shared. 3 dishes, if one was bad it would be okay - but all of them were. And... More

I had a very disappointing experience here - and it used to be one of my favourite hotel restaurants in Edmonton! I ordered a salad that was drenched in dressing (didn't complain, nor even mention this - tried to eat selectively). This was followed by chicken that was waaaay undercooked. When my business colleague (who had invited me to lunch),... More

First time at the Wildflower - lunch - you have to see the menu. You have never had a Cesar salad like the Wildflower makes it and forget what you would think of for halibut fish and chips....absolutely wonderful, no batter but the fish and it's "casing" have to be experienced. Fresh, very tasty (including the asiago cheese hints). Other... More

Food was beautifully presented and shrimp appetizer on prix fixe menu had great flavour but...the service, other food and ambience did not live up to restaurants reputation or prices. Waitress did not know the menu, the noise level made it difficult for the server to hear us or one another with loud background music adding to the "clutter"- and the... More
