Good food; excellent wine

Went to the restaurant downtown. I had the Kale Caesar Salad, Scallops appetizer and the Fruiti de Mare. The for a person who does not normally eat seafood, the scallops were awesome! The salad was good enough. The Fruiti de Mare (fruit of the sea) had scallops, shrimp and calamari. It was good... read more

The five mushroom pizza was scrumptious and so was the veal pasta all encased like ravioli. Aly who looked after us, went out of his way to even rush the meal and service as we had a 7:30 pm engagement.

This was our second year dining at this establishment prior to attending the play - "The Christmas Carol". This was the second year we've been disappointed with the service. Service was mediocre, and delivered by a disinterested waitress. Appetizer Crab Cakes were still frozen when served. But it took 5 minutes to get the waitresses’ attention to return them. Once... Other locations are great for real italian pizza but if you want the best of everything else go to little Italy location. Pastas are authentic italian, so is the atmosphere. Don't miss the funghi marsala it's as good for dessert as it is an appetizer!

We have tried a few different locations and sorry, it just isn't working. I had a linguini dish in the little Italy location and it tasted like a packaged product. The gnocchi downtown was dry and chewy. The waiter tried to tell us that gnocchi is supposed to be that way. Sigh.

Sorrentino's has a few restaurants in Edmonton and they have affiliated restaurants that are part of the Sorrentino's food group. I have yet to go to any of their restaurants and come away dissatisfied. The food has always been fresh, the portions good and the prices reasonable. For my money the one that I like the best is their location... More

In my mind this is the top homestyle Italian in Edmonton. Its a very quaint setting but if its the kind of food you would be served at an Italian nona's house that you crave, this is the place. Maria's homestyle cooking is exquisite and the service from Matteo and Ed and Olivia is perfect. They always bend over backwards... More

The staff was excellent, a nice touch, they have real Italians working there! The food was refined Italian, with something for everyone. The winelist was varied and not over priced like in many other places. We had a toddler with us, he got a special Bambini menu and colouring crayons with his high chair. Altogether a wonderful evening. We will... More

We had the opportunity to visit the south side (Calgary Trail) Edmonton location on Easter Monday which happily and by choice was during the Garlic Festival. Appetizers were roasted garlic plus breaded shrimp with a bacon/garlic aioli. The roasted garlic was done perfectly. The shrimp were huge, cooked just right and the garlic/bacon sauce was great. My wife had garlic/ham... More
