We had seen this diner many times on trip to the Sugarbowl (next door) but had never visited- what a mistake! Had a great breakfast with a fresh made omelette, real potatoes and great multigrain toast. We didn't try the cinnamon buns- but they looked great and many people had them or got them "to go". We will be back!

We recently ate here with a friend. The menu wasn't huge but had a good variety of items. We had fish and chips, smoked salmon quesadillas. We had a nice window seat which was cosy. No view to speak of. The service was good and staff attentive and timely. Our desserts were lovely - fruit pie, fruit cobbler and gelato.... More

I was very pleased. The jambalaya was wonderful.....spicy but not overbearing. Nice sausage, The portion was large. My partner's quesadilla was also really tasty. And the soup of the day...a smoked salmon/lime/cilantro was wonderful! Great service too.

I went here with my boyfriend and a friend, and all 3 of us were disaponted. Perhaps we had hear so much hype our expectation were too high, but I felt honestly disapointed. First of all the place is very small, so very busy of course which we expected. The service wasn’t great right from the start, and all through... More

We’ve been eating at the High Level Diner for about 18 years now. Even with a change in ownership we have yet to be disappointed. Servers are truly professionals and very personable. There is lots of window seating as well as an outdoor patio. We always consider their meals to be reasonably priced and proportions sizes perfect for us. We... More

Sunday morning brunch at the High Level Diner is popular. Very popular. If you don't like driving around trying to find parking or standing in line long I would recommend arriving before 930 am. Is it worth it? The Eggs Benedict were good - english muffin hot and toasted, egg medium soft (they ask how you like it) and the... More

I have always enjoyed coming to the High Level Diner for the famous cinnamon buns. Today, I thought I would return for lunch. This has been part of the Garneau neighbourhood for a very long time. When I return, my visit invokes many great memories of great food. I was not disappointed today. I had the chicken salad grilled cheese... More

The High Level Diner was a great choice for our big group. The eclectic menu had something for everyone. I had the daily special of salmon, which was fantastic! The side salad was fresh and had more than just the usual ingredients of other restaurant side salads. Others in our group reported that the shepherds pie was very good. I... More

We saw this place on tv we made a visit! Very much enjoyed what we had with exceptional service. We will definitely be attending again in the near future. We had the spinach pie with homemade fries and even homemade ketchup! Great place highly recommend.
