Don't Let The Anemic Toast Throw You Off

Nice breakfast at the High Level Diner this morning. Then only thing the toast needed was colour. The toast was toast... Nice and dry. The taste was awesome. Very good bread. Don't you just hate warm limp bread passed off as toast? I will go so far as to say it offends me. Service was fast... read more

Try the cinnamon buns, you will not be disappointed. Breakfast was fast, fresh and delicious. The ketchup is even homemade! Everything is local and delicious.

I ate at this diner many years ago when I was in University and my cousin suggested we meet there for brunch today. I was very happy with everything. We arrived just before noon and there was a line up to the door, but it moved quite quickly. The only negative is that they don't take reservations. The service was... More

We've adopted the High Level Diner as our Favorite upscale (but not ridiculously expensive) restaurant. Last visit on Saturday was with wife, daughter and grandson. Wonderful food (we had variety and everyone enjoyed thoroughly), friendly service (Adrien) and truly decadent dessert (bread pudding).

I love the High Level Diner, 30 years ago, when I was a university student, and I love it now, as I visit my old stomping grounds. The menu is not huge, but has enough variety. Great salads and soups, as well as excellent bread. The decor is quaint, with the old wooden chairs which perhaps were there from when... More

Despite having great ambiance, and a fantastic menu, the high level diner is just plain awesome. I've been with my wife and family countless times and have ordered all over the menu and everything is just great. PLUS, get one of the window spots and check out the high level bridge/river valley while you eat. Last time I went I... More

My son and I stopped here on our way out of Edmonton on route to a weekend at the lake. Wonderful way to start our mini vacation. Food was amazing, interior is very cozy but I like that. Don't think any one goes away hungry. We'll be back
