Went for dinner last night. Had never been before and didn’t know what to expect. The flavour and portion sizes blew us away. Exceptional pasta and appetizers. Our server was amazing; attentive, kind, and quick. Really good prices for the portions and great ambiance. Will...definitely be back (also, get the chocolate mousse!)More

The non-profit I work for used Rigoletto's twice the week of Sept. 18 - 22, 2023. A dinner for a group of 30 people was held in their private dining room and they catered a meeting for 50 people at our office. Both meals had...guests with special dietary requirements. Dino was knowledgeable, excellent and fun to work with. All meals, including the special dietary ones, were delicious! I highly recommend Rigoletto's for in dining and catering!More

We went to hear PJ play and we weren't disappointed as he was amazing. All of the musicians in the band are of the highest level. We were delighted with the new location which has the charm of the old Alberta Hotel. The food was...very good but the service was a little slow -- may need more staff. We will definitely be back.More

Lovely supper before a play, so glad Rigoletto's moved near the Citadel. The historic building adds lovely homey ambience, and the staff are still wonderful. Menu had good variety, and prices and quality good. Had only been for lunch in the old location, and supper...was great and the place is spacious enough to allow privacy and ability have good conversations. Will definitely return!More

We ate here while visiting Edmonton. Note quite sure, but I believe it may have changed owners, as they mentioned that they had only been open a few weeks. The meals were huge (atleast be Australian standards). We ordered the bolognase, cabonara, lasagne and chicken...penne. Everyone enjoyed their meals, my only comment would be that both the bolognase and lasagne had chilli in them which was not noted in the description and I had to swap my lasagne with my partner as I have to avoid chili. Kids were happy either their meals and even though we were the only family in the restaurant, we were made to feel welcome.More

We had a table of 8 the service was bad. We had one drink and where never asked the rest of the night if we wanted another. They walked around like we didn’t exist. The food was average at best. The bruschetta was very bland....The muscles were very good but small portion for the price. There is another Italian place downtown I won’t name that beats then hands down and same price.More

We were visiting Edmonton and staying in the building that has this restaurant on the ground floor. On our last day we decided to try it out of the convenience of not having to walk in the chilly weather. We were glad we did. First...we had the bruschetta for an appetizer which was loaded with tasty seasoned diced tomato's and onions. For the main course I had the penne with chicken and portabella mushrooms in a cream sauce and my wife had the rigatoni with italian sausage & red peppers. Both were nice sized portions and tasted great. I believe we had the same male waiter that has been mentioned in previous reviews who at first seems a little stiff but he warmed up very quickly and was actually very engaging with us wanting to know where we were from and our reason for visiting Edmonton. Highly recommend!More

I came here with Close friends and family, and this place I enjoy going to every now and then since I did consider it as one of my favourite go to's for pasta. I usually don't have a problem with the restaurant with it's food...& service, however the older male server rubs off as rude. I had him as a server before with only my significant other and I, & initially thought perhaps he wasn't having a good day, so his attitude and service was not the best. BUT the same thing happened on my birthday. I believe that it is difficult to make someone feel not special or wanted at a restaurant regardless of the occasion. I felt that I wasn't cared for and it made me feel embarrassed because I would speak so highly of this place in the past to my close family and friends who have not been to Rigoletto's before. And majority of them said that because of our service they won't be coming back again. 1) Although the food is good, he did not check up on us or inform us how much longer our food would take. Very poor hospitality. 2) Never asked if we wanted dessert, even as a consideration, since I did not have a cake. 3) I felt rushed in making an order of what I wanted as soon as I sat down at the table, as if he did not want to bother coming back to the table after giving me 5 minutes or so to think on what I wanted to order as if it was a hassle to do such a thing. 4) Made my friends feel un-welcomed when he looked irritated when they asked to split and share their pasta, since they had to leave a bit earlier and wouldn't have finished a whole pasta by themselves. 5) everyone at my table were irritable with the lack of service we received. I don't know the Server's name, however it does seem that he has been a part of the staff for quite some time. From having experience with this server twice, and knowing that nothing changed in terms of how he treated myself and the people I was with makes me consider ordering pasta for pick up instead of having any chance of him being our server the next time I perhaps want to eat there.More

I have gone here twice now and will be going again in 2 days. I have been dragging my coworkers with me since it's so close. At lunch it's convenient. The menu has exceptional variety of food and I can't say enough for the taste...in all the dishes I've had so far. My friend's & coworkers were also impressed with their dishes. I can't wait to go again!More

The restaurant is huge with very simple decor. My husband and I were visiting for the weekend, and the place shockingly only had 5-10 customers on a Saturday night. We ordered linguine in clam and white wine sauce, as well as rigatoni in red tomato...sauce with chicken and peppers. Both dishes were delicious! Big portions, lots of clams and chicken, with reasonable prices. The only down to the evening was the service. The female waitress was super friendly, but the male waiter was rude and seemed ignorant.More

I’ve been to Rigoletto’s a couple times recently and both times the man server, was so unfriendly and flat out rude, both times. The lady server has always been friendly over the years. But I won’t be back because of the rude server, who has...been there for years, so I don’t foresee him leaving anytime soon. The food is good.More

Staying at the nearby Holiday Inn Express Downtown, we were on our way to the fancy hotels for a Sunday dinner (thinking most of the other restaurants would be closed), and we spied Rigoletto's Cafe, located right on 100 Ave NW (the map makes it...look like it is off on side street, but it is on the south side of 100 Ave.) We were not looking for a huge meal, so I had a small bowl of chowder (delicious), and spinach and mushrooms on bread (also delicious). My wife had a plate of spaghetti carbonara. It was also tasty, but so copious that she could not finish it. Service was fast and friendly.More

I was very pleasantly surprised by this place, nondescript exterior, very plain decor inside and not busy. However, the menu and food were worth it, a lot of choice, and very good quality. My thing at Italian restaurants is pasta, but there are other choices...in entrees too. I was here twice on a recent visit to Edmonton, both times pasta dishes. My favourite was the veal tortellini.More

We stopped in for dinner one night and were very pleased with the service. Our waitress was fantastic. The food was pretty good and the portions were fair for the prices. It wasn't very busy the night that we went so the food came out...pretty quick. Overall we were happy with our meals and would go back.More
