Had yet another fabulous mean at the Red Ox last night. I have to wonder whether some of the bad reviews on here are legitimate - I would give it 6 stars if I could. First, the portion sizes are NOT small. I had the mac and cheese and my husband had the pork belly. Both were generous portions for... More

I have dined at Red Ox Inn on more than one occasion and the food is always fantastic. The service is prompt and wait staff are knowledgeable. This restaurant requires reservations as there are only 10-12 tables. Last night we had 2 mac n' cheese appetizers and 2 beef tenderloin dinners and 2 coffees for $105. The food was amazing... More

The Red Ox Inn has been on our list for some time and finally we were able to go there. Contrary to their reputation of excellence, we were unfortunately left underwhelmed. As others have noted, the acoustics were terrible and we found ourselves at times shouting to each other to be heard over the noise from the other tables. We... More

Excellent food, excellent presentation, excellent service. Wonderful for friends or intimate dinners. Reservations are a must. A small quaint restaurant in an "out of the way" location. One of my favorites.

Set in a modest strip mall in a residential area, this is truly a dining 'experience.' You'll be coming to a quiet, intimate setting with only a few tables - so make sure to make reservations well in advance if you're hoping to be there on a particular evening. And then, be prepared for a leisurely evening of good food... More

My wife and I decided to go to this restaurant for a nice New Years Eve dinner, we had been wanted to try it for a while and had heard nothing but great things. At $80 a person for a 3 course dinner our expectations for set very high. We were seated at 7:45 and had our order taken. We... More

Nice little restaurant in mid Edmonton area. Unfortunately, acoustics are bad. Hard wood floor, plain walls, and tight seating (not too mention an annoying radio station) all make for a high noise level (when they are busy) and a difficult time to hear who you are with. However, quality of food is great. Portions lack a bit of substance, but... More

My friend had the Sirloin steak. It was soo tough she could hardly cut it. I had the Pork Belly Appetizer.... Could hardly find it on the plate, it was such a small cube.. Maybe a 1" cube? We both eventually had the chicken... VERY small portions. High prices. Not worth the cost. Will not go back here again.

My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary at ROI, thanks to the recommendation from a co worker. We adored our evening. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. The food was simply artistic prepared so damn well. The little things made the difference - server knowledge of food, kickass wine list, wonderfully written menu & execution. We will recommend... My elderly parents and I went to the Red Ox Inn for a special dinner. I knew I could depend on this restaurant to deliver a great meal and it didn't disappoint. We were lucky to get a large table in the corner for the three of us, which shielded us a bit from the noise - the conversational level... More
