If you are hungry and looking for authentic Indian food in Edmonton AB down town the answer is Haweli Restaurant. Great Indian food with live music during lunch buffet's. Absence is very nice and quit which makes it a great place for official lunches or private parties. Friendly environment and nice section of dishes, in addition to this live Tandoor;... More

This was a saturday night visit with my husband and our friend .Haweli is very organized with a lot of thought put into the details to benefit the customers comfort. Soft ,ambient lightening ,rich and vibrant colours and decorations.White linen napkins ,huge chilled copper water goblets for each guest and large sparkling clean wine glasses to drink from. Service is... More

We went to this restaurant and decided to go for the buffet. We usually don't eat a lot so not sure it was the best idea ever but anyway. Service is very attentive. Their strawberry flavour beer is reallyyyy nice. However I thought paying $26 for the buffet is too expensive. They don't have a lot of different appetizers. No... More

Have been to both this location and the St Albert one several times. The buffet is awesome but unfortunately it's only on Sat night. The rest I the time the food is good but pricey and you don't get the same selection, obviously. If you like Indian food, give sat night a try.

Had dinner with family. Pathetic service. 20 mins to take a drinks order...then they forgot about it. Food, apart from Fish Pakora, was a pretense for Indian food. Butter masala prawns full of sugar. Lamb roganjosh overladen with tomatoes. A place to eat at if you want Unindian food.

One of our favourite Indian restaurants, lunch food, and downtown eating spots. The buffet is great (really!)

Have eaten there several times now. Best time to go is probably on a Friday or Saturday evening when (oddly enough) there aren't a ton of people, but they have some live music being played. And the music is not SO LOUD (like waaay too many other places), that you have to strain to hear the person next to you.... More

Nice atmosphere, great food. Good value. The service is ok, they could improve on the service with a smile. I would go for the food and the price.

Food was wonderfully hot and fresh unlike most buffets. The plates are warmed under a heat lamp so your food is not going on to a cold plate. Service was excellent and the lady playing the sitar made it a wonderful night in India. Incredible value at $24.95 per person. Will definitely return on my next foray into Edmonton.

I am a Brit living in Canada and I have struggled for the last 7 years to find an Indian restaurant that tastes and good as the ones in the UK. Haweli was a real surprise. We took a day trip to Edmonton from Calgary for a show at the Expo and decided to eat before the drive home. I... More
