This is a fabulous place for any type of baked good lover! Bring your grandma, bring your toddler, hubby, friend, boss, you name it! The treats are to die for! And the attached shop brings you a step closer to make your own creations (but why both when you can enjoy the ambience here😃)

Easily one of North America's best. The selection is amazing with a good mix of sweet and savory items. Everything I tried was fresh and tasty, the gruyere/potato galette item, the berry pie, the coconut macaroons, the fresh roast beef sandwich, etc... It's a good thing I don't live in Edmonton or I'd be here all the time. It blows... More

I love this bake shop and have visited both times we were in Edmonton. Their macaron & cakes are great! We tried the Duke this time and it was absolutely scrumptious.

The Duchess serves excellent pastries to take out or have with a well prepared coffee or espresso. They use beans roasted by Matchstick in Vancouver. Beware, this is an extremely popular shop so be prepared for a wait during peak hours. Closed Mon & Tues. For home bakers the sister shop called Duchess Provisions sells pastry and bread baking supplies.

An excellent place to have a real coffee and taste excellent cake and pastries. The service is adequate. That makes different Tim Hortons and Dunkin Donuts.

We always try to find independent coffee shops to get a great cup of coffee and we were lucky enough to stumble across this little gem while visiting family in Edmonton. A perfect French pastry and coffee house. The cappuccino and pan chocolat were both perfect. Highly recommended.

This place is the real deal. I was in Edmonton for just a weekend and was looking for something special. I scanned the area and saw someone post that this place had croissants similar to in Paris. I didn't believe it but had to go in and see for myself. It was pretty damn close. Amazing croissants and other pastries.... More

This bakery is also a cafe that serves light lunches and the assortment of baked goods is mind boggling. I had a delicious quiche and salad. I have heard that it is very popular and usually busy but the staff are enthusiastic and efficient. The Duchess has the feel of a European bake shop or coffee house. Having to choose... More

Great place for pastries. Love this little shop. I go there whenever I am in Edmonton! I especially liked the lemon tart.

I was not sure if I would find this type of bakery in Edmonton. I lucked out though. On a sunny Wednesday afternoon, I found myself at Duchess enjoying a dark chocolate croissant and a mushroom mascarpone croissant. I have been to France and Quebec. The Duchess croissants are on par with the finest croissants in France and Quebec. Plus,... More
