wow was this place ever busy. I got 2 macaroons, hot chocolate (that looked so pretty!) and what seemed like a macaroon cake with chocolate filling and a layer of bananas. ah, I could eat one every day! the flavour wasn't too too rich (which happens with chocolate fillings a lot) and every bite was enjoyable...plus the presentation of the... Wow, what a charming place, we stopped here based on the online reviews and we were not disappointed. Endless choices of goodies, I had a mushroom pastry which was so good, followed by a delicious late ! Only one negative here, our server could have been more friendly !

I 'm Italian . I do not understand the citizens of edmonton. You have never been in a pastry shop in Paris or Rome? The technique and the richness of the ingredients is really poor and is not justified a line to enter. The prices are really high for the quality offered also you never thought to better distribute the shop dear... Awesome bake shop was a little pricey but the desserts were excellent. The cakes were delicious. The cookies were quite good as well. The decor is stunning nice place to sit and enjoy some great eats.

It was Sunday afternoon and it was packed, no tables available but the staff was very friendly and helpful. We decided to go back a little bit later and it was not so crowded, it is true that some pastries were sold out. The shot of espresso coffee came out perfect and the lemon meringue cake is very fresh, light... More

I've been to Duchess Bakery twice - one time to see what the fuss was about and a second visit to meet a friend for lunch. My first visit results in a pain au chocolat with no chocolate at all. It was impossible to catch the eye of any employeees, so we waited a long time. I found it mediocre... More

On weekends people are lined up to get in before opening. Very cozy atmosphere, people with their lap tops or friends socializing having coffee and pastries. The pastries are amazing.

I have stopped into Duchess bake shop a few times, whenever in the area. It's almost always busy, a few times the line was out the door. The wait is worth it! There are many options to choose from, my favorite are of course the macarons, and the croissants. If you're craving something sweet, head to Duchess...you won't be disappointed.

Pastries are delectable. The duke is the best chocolate cake ever!!! Macarons are good as is the lemon tart and the lime tart. Only thing that isn't spectacular is the shortbread cookie. It's average, but everything else is superb! Only thing is it's very noisy in there.

It is stepping off of 124 street(bit of a grubby area) into a whole different world of white purity, finery and crazy baked goodness! I had never been before, could barely get very far down the glass cases before I was ordering pastries and chocolate cake. I ordered a meat tartine, was an open faced thinly sliced beef sandwich, with... More
