We come here regularly and the food and service are consistently excellent. We enjoyed the green salad, the schnitzel and pork hock with sauerkraut and potato salad. To compliment this delightful meal we shared a banana crepe. The place was full on an early Friday evening. Be sure to make reservations. The owners are so warm and welcoming. This continues... More

My wife and I celebrated with our daughter on her 25 birthday at the Praha. We were pleasantly surprised to find this European-like bistro in Edmonton. The room itself has a warm atmosphere with several occupied tables of guests busily chatting away. You can tell people are enjoying themselves here. We had the very fresh and tasty tomato-onion salad to... More

The decor was lovely with a European feel. The server was very friendly and helpful. The wine was reasonably priced. The Nadia dessert crepes were wonderful!! Unfortunately the main course dinner was very average and rather disappointing. We ordered various schnitzel dishes which was supposed to be a specialty of the restaurant. The meat was very chewy and dry and... More

We had a small family gathering at this resturant and love the weiner schnitzel. We had 3 different varieties and all were exceptionally good. The service was friendly and effecient. The portion sizes were good. We will go back again.

Lovely cosy restaurant in an otherwise bleak downtown area. Food was well-priced and well-portioned. The schnitzel and tomato/onion salad can rival any European offerings.

It is several years since I first had the Weiner Schnitzel at Prahas, and the original restaurant has burned down. The food at the new location is as great as ever. Here it is, the lighting is too bright, I really wish they would lower the lighting. The salad is okay, modest, light dressing, but fine. The pan fried potatoes... More

The place seems to be making most money from offering very thin crepes with a generous portion of whipped cream for a lot of money. On my first visit, I have ordered the goulash with dumplings. The goulash had no spices in it, the dumplings were actually cut out of bread (!). On my second visit I have ordered the... More

This is a charming little place that's a piece of old Europe. From the antique parson's tables to the classical music playing one immediately feels relaxed and in good hands. Service was impeccable. The waiter recommended a wine that was not on the wine list. Very reasonably priced and well paired with our food. We ordered salads and schnitzels. Both... More

I used to eat a lot at the old Bistro Praha in the 80s when I lived in Edmonton. It was wonderful. I understood the owner died and it closed but on my last trip I found it had been reopened in a nearby location by the old waiter. I was very pleasantly surprised. The location is smaller but very...
