Description: CHOP Steakhouse & Bar is located on Ellerslie Road, just a few minutes south from South Edmonton Common and Southgate Shopping centre. CHOP is attached to the upscale Sandman Signature Hotel, just off of Calgary Trail. A MOMENT AWAY FROM THE USUAL STEAKHOUSE. At Chop we bring together all the elements that discerning guests love about wine and food and combine them with energy, style and value. For the steak lover, Chop steaks are aged a minimum of 28 days and cooked in a specially designed oven that cooks at 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit for incredible flavor. If your preference is seafood, we have a fantastic selection of fish dishes complimented with sensational sauces and sides. Fresh baked Winnipeg rye bread and delightful desserts, like our signature Fallen Chocolate Souffle Cake, are created by our baker daily. Our extensive wine list is assembled by sommelier Kim Spence and has something for every palate, ranging from elegant white wines to fruit forward reds.

Food was decent, however for the price it is absolutely not worth it and I will not be back again. I had the steak and lobster with 2 drinks and a tip my bill was $60. The lobster tail was small but good. The steak was small also: tough and not very tasty. For the price I expected a good... More

Visited Chop Steakhouse for a business meeting over dinner. Sat in one of their private rooms which worked out perfect for our small group. The service was excellent. The wasabi crusted ahi tuna was done to perfection. The steaks were done perfectly.

went out here with my mother, aunt and their cousin. We wanted somewhere with good food that wouldn't get too loud. My mother has a hard time hearing when there's a lot of background music. This place was fantastic. The meal was excellent, our service was great and there was background music but they didn't crank it up after 6... More

Highly overpriced for the amounts and quality of food. Service could be way better. I recommend not to try the gravy from here as it is disgusting and taste nothing like gravy.

We were disappointed after hearing such great things about Chop. Three of us had Prime rib but over half of it was fat and when our food arrived it was only warm to touch. The fourth person in our party ordered steak and fries and the fries were cold which were brought to our waiters attention immediately. He said he... More

Been here again with my wife. Chop never disappoints me. I had a nice prime rip, the horseradish is awesome and will definitely clear your sinuses. My wife had some chicken and she said it was very well seasoned. Server was awesome. Knew the wine card and was able to make recommendations.

Had a great meal. Very nice place. Seated us in a nice quiet area. Staff is very polite. Stephon was our server and he is very polite and well mannered. Enjoyed eating there and sure will be back there again.

We had the Prime rib, which by itself is good, but add freshly grated horseradish, and it comes alive. The vegetables were good, and once we got Mary as our server, the entire experience took a step up. She knew wine, and recommended a fabulous Cab (Liberty School). In addition, she took the time to chat about the restaurant and... More

Decent food but a gong show on service. You can tell that the staff want to do well but poor management and training trickle down to customers. Training is the best thing you can do for your customers and your business. Get it together.

Enjoyed top sirloin and lobster tail with roasted vegetables as the side choice. Good quality protein, well prepared. Sensible portion sizes - you could add the salad or share an appetizer. Loose leaf tea - African Nectar - lovely. Upscale/modern atmosphere. Would be a fun place to have an engagement supper or meet friends - they have some semi-private dining... More
