CHOP is attached to the upscale Sandman Signature Hotel, just off of Calgary Trail. A MOMENT AWAY FROM THE USUAL STEAKHOUSE. At Chop we bring together all the elements that discerning guests love about wine and food and combine them with energy, style and value. For the steak lover, Chop steaks are aged a minimum of 28 days and cooked in a specially designed oven that cooks at 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit for incredible flavor. If your preference is seafood, we have a fantastic selection of fish dishes complimented with sensational sauces and sides. Fresh baked Winnipeg rye bread and delightful desserts, like our signature Fallen Chocolate Souffle Cake, are created by our baker daily. Nice to find a restaurant that does not overcharge on their wine list. VQA Quail's Gate Pinot Noir. Good food deserves good wine. Only complaint was second bottle poured into original glassware, the server should have offered to switch glassware. Guests will usually say no, but proper etiquette is to offer.

I've been to this place several times and you cant go wrong. Usually pretty busy which says alot. The lounge is nice to hang out in but the dining room is excellent too. Great menu, great staff. Loved it.

Our waitress was superb, the filet mignon was exceptional, had a wonderful dinner with my fiancé in the dining area. Highly recommend this location.

M husband and I went for his birthday and had a great time. The dining room was very full and was going to take half hour to get a seat, but there was room in the lounge so we ended up eating in there. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the food was oh so yummy!

Fortunately I booked this visit a couple of weeks in advance - as it was Mother's Day - and this is obviously a popular spot. We were taken immediately to our table. Despite being busy - our server was prompt and very attentive. Quite a large and interesting menu presented a selection challenge- I had a "wasabi encrusted tuna" and... More

We went for Mothers Day - the restaurant made the occasion special, with attention to small detail. It is very nicely decorated - but very large. Therefore, where you sit makes a big difference in noise level. Good menu choices, and food well presented. Only complaint - very soggy fries!

Arrived at the restaurant to a warm welcome, no sooner did we get seated at our table and our server took our drink order....and the amazing service continued throughout the evening. Our meal was over-the-top, appetizers, salads, steaks and prime rib with cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend Chop Steakhouse...delicious!!! And amazing service!!!

If they would focus on there food as much as they do the appearance of the restaurant. That would be a much better menu and quality of food.

Came in starving and seriously craving a good steak dinner. The kitchen staff definitely made me happy with a perfectly cooked New York steak, mashed potatoes, bok choi, and beer. Ok bar staff did the beer but I had a great meal nonetheless :) Service was fast in an enticing quiet environment with choice of comfortable booths, tall tables, or... More

Food was decent, however for the price it is absolutely not worth it and I will not be back again. I had the steak and lobster with 2 drinks and a tip my bill was $60. The lobster tail was small but good. The steak was small also: tough and not very tasty. For the price I expected a good... More
