Very fine menu choices which proved to be very well presented and devoured. Service was classy without being over the top. A bit pricey but worth it. parking can be difficult.

My husband and I like to visit a couple of times a year . The food is exceptional. The portions are generous and the tomato cocktail is absolutely delicious . The service is impeccable . About the only negative thing I can say is that it can be rather noisy.

Our last visit was a couple weeks ago to celebrate a belated birthday. The food is awesome, the server was spectacular and the Dill Pickle soup is to die for.

They are known for their European fare. Stick with it The tartar was overworked and the toast turned out to be warned bread. Large portion but the seasoning was off as well.

Hi Richard S. Thank you so much for writing a review. I appreciate hearing all types of feedback in order to know where our customers stand with certain items we serve. It seems as though the Steak Tatar can be an item of controversy amongst tatar lovers as some people absolutely love the seasoning and others find it not salty/too... More

I love the Continental Treat. My favorite dishes are the goulash or the beef stroganoff, but you can't go wrong with any menu item. Start with a cup of the pickle soup- it might sound weird, but it is delicious! You might want to share an entree if you are starting with soup, as the dessert menu is very tempting.... More

Good Day bluegirl99, Awesome dish choices on your end and yes, time and time again when the dill pickle soup is mentioned to those who have not tried it an intrigued yet bizarre look will usually appear on their faces, however, one bite and they are usually hooked!! Next time you come in please allow yourself space to try our... More

So we went to spend a cold fall afternoon inside instead of our usual outdoor patios that we have been enjoying all summer. We were seated under a fan that couldn't be turned off so we had to move. I had to wear my coat throughout my meal and never really warmed up but it didn't deter us from enjoying... More

Happy Monday SunSeeker37, Thank you very much for such a detailed review. I appreciate it when customers take the time to tell us what both works and did not work for them when being a guest at The Continental Treat. The dill pickle soup is not going to suit everyones palate although it is a favoured amongst guests. Next time... More

Had lunch there today and was very impressed with the service, food and quality! Service was very attentive and helpful...perogies and dill soup outstanding - beef tenderloin top notch! Would definitely go back for dinner on my next trip to Edmonton so I could sample the vast beer and wine list.

Having just moved from London, UK and travelled a fair bit in Europe, I was pleasantly surprised going into Continental Treat that it was so authentic. You would not believe you were sitting in Edmonton if blindfolded and led into this restauarnt. The veal schnitzel was excellent, and the beer selection is second to none.

My boyfriend and I recently booked a trip to Europe. To celebrate, we decided to go to Continental Treat. Neither of us had been there before and we had both heard some really good things about it. Boy, was it ever a let down. I would like to start by saying that our experience had nothing to do with our... More

Ikirtio what can I say?? From your review it is clear that from the moment you stepped into our restaurant it did not suit your decor, ambiance or palate taste. I am wholeheartedly sorry that you feel that way. I am relieved that the service you received and our beer menu was at least up to your standards. However, I... More

On a recent business trip to Edmonton we visited Continental treat on a Sunday night. We went fairly early, 6;30-ish and the restaurant was quite full. No problems because we had reservations. I no longer go to restaurants where you can not make reservations. It is tough enough to get friends and family together for a dinner out without the... More

Hello Wilfcalgary and thank you so much for your review!! I appreciate you noting certain aspects of The Continental Treat such as the settings of our tables and the de-cantering of our wines. You are definitely correct about our clientele. Because we have been open for over 30 years we do tend to have many fine regulars of European descent,... More
