Three of us had just an excellent lunch at this restaurant the other day. The service is outstanding as is the food. A bit pricey maybe, but well worth it. We had a sample of their sauerkraut soup, which is the best I have ever had outside of the one my wife makes. When we were finished our plates were... More

Once again a wonderful meal in Edmonton at Continental Treat on Whyte. The atmosphere is reminiscent of so many places we had visited in Europe, and the food is just as delicious. We often go for lunch when it is not as busy and nearly always end up ordering the excellent Schnitzel along with the dill pickle soup, very refreshing!... More

Thanks so much Ernie for your kind words and repeat visits to our restaurant! The two dishes you have mentioned are certainly BIG hits in our establishment and it's always great to hear excellent feedback on them. Good choices on the Schneider Aventinus and Westvleteren 12 beers. Your absolutely right about giving the Westvleteren 12 a try as any beer... More

I had heard so much about it my wife and I were excited for a new Whyte Avenue experience. The food was above average and the service below average. I will not be returning at those prices. If the food was exceptional maybe, but it wasn't.

We came her for my Mother’s birthday. It was quite a warm day and it did feel a bit warm but I usually run a bit warmer then most. After an iced tea and soup I was fine! Had a little mishap when the waiter thought we were waiting for one more person (there was 3 of us at a... More

For a cute, cozy bistro the food and atmosphere match.Getting into this place without a reservation is near impossible so book in advance (well worth it). The staff are very professional and outstanding! The food is simply flavorful, plays on your palette, and beautifully presented. We brought our parents to continental treat to give them a little taste of Europe before they went on their first trip to Germany. What great beer selection and the food truly tasted like it was what we had on the streets of Munich! I enjoyed the polish cutlet (I can't ever convince myself to try anything different) and the... Thank you so much Robyn!!! It's nice to see that people from B.C. are also enjoying our restaurant here in Edmonton. The Polish Cutlet is definitely a favoured one by many people but I truly do suggest... More

We celebrated a special occasion and had high ecxpectations. The food is very German with rich sauces and gravy. The steak was overdone and covered in gravy, the stroganoff had an odd flavor and the chicken meat was sinewy. The borscht was great as was the pickle soup, but overall just mediocre. Very expensive for a mediocre meal.Tables were crowded... More

Hi there and thank you for taking the time to express your point of view. 8 of us had a reservation for a Tuesday night and the place was busy (which tells you something) so do book ahead for a larger group. We all ordered different food items and there were certainly no complaints. You really do need to like Germanic or Northern European style food and since we were open to try different things,...
