My boyfriend and I recently booked a trip to Europe. To celebrate, we decided to go to Continental Treat. Neither of us had been there before and we had both heard some really good things about it. Boy, was it ever a let down. I would like to start by saying that our experience had nothing to do with our... More

Ikirtio what can I say?? From your review it is clear that from the moment you stepped into our restaurant it did not suit your decor, ambiance or palate taste. I am wholeheartedly sorry that you feel that way. I am relieved that the service you received and our beer menu was at least up to your standards. However, I... More

On a recent business trip to Edmonton we visited Continental treat on a Sunday night. We went fairly early, 6;30-ish and the restaurant was quite full. No problems because we had reservations. I no longer go to restaurants where you can not make reservations. It is tough enough to get friends and family together for a dinner out without the... More

Hello Wilfcalgary and thank you so much for your review!! I appreciate you noting certain aspects of The Continental Treat such as the settings of our tables and the de-cantering of our wines. You are definitely correct about our clientele. Because we have been open for over 30 years we do tend to have many fine regulars of European descent,... More

Monka29 Thank You!! That is a huge statement you made so it is graciously received... We pride ourselves at The Continental Treat on serving "old school" European fare so feel flattered when comments like yours are made.. Come back to see us anytime. Cheers~ Sylvester Borowka More

Very good meal in a bit of a formal setting (linen table cloth, candles). The restaurant is located on a fun, trendy street. Ordered the dill pickle soup which was AMAZING! Tangy, crunchy, yummy just like eating pickles. Worth the trip alone. The veal schnitzel was very good - not exceptional, but schnitzel is pretty basic. Thought it was a... More

I'm glad that this restaurant is aptly ranked one of the best in Edmonton! I've not tried #1 and #2 so I'm contend with the current #3. We visited for a couple's night out. Booked through opentable and had to wait a few mins for the table. The restaurant was bustling for a Thu night! Our server was fantastic, attentive,... More

Three of us had just an excellent lunch at this restaurant the other day. The service is outstanding as is the food. A bit pricey maybe, but well worth it. We had a sample of their sauerkraut soup, which is the best I have ever had outside of the one my wife makes. When we were finished our plates were... More

Once again a wonderful meal in Edmonton at Continental Treat on Whyte. The atmosphere is reminiscent of so many places we had visited in Europe, and the food is just as delicious. Thanks so much Ernie for your kind words and repeat visits to our restaurant!
