A good place for dinner

This place used to be a cowboy type restaurant and still has the mechanical bull, pool table and that sort of thing. The night we were there they were having a group picture painting activity, which is apparently a regular thing there. It took away the cowboy atmosphere. The food was good and... read more

This place is the real deal. Such a great setup from all the memorabilia, to western saddles hanging in the rafters, the pictures and trophies of rodeo legends, musicians and general décor. A great sized dancefloor and plenty of bar service area. Great staff on the table service, they always had a smile for us and were quite quick. Our... More

Did not eat there so I cannot comment on the food but we went for drinks.. My friend went to the bathroom and was peeing when she saw security (MALE) poke his head under the door.. she was alone in the stall.. an hour later same thing happened to my other friend! Apparently they are looking for drug users! I... More

I have never been to a place in Calgary where the Females out number the Males...until I was there last Saturday!! The place was PACKED with women, easily 3-1 Girls to Guys. The band had that dance floor bumpin' all night. I will definitely be a face seen in that bar more often. PS Got to try the Poutine IT'S... More

We visited the place as a group of 3 generations aged 21 to 76 and all enjoyed the experience. With a rough decor depicting the old time cowboy, saddles, rodeo photos and of course lots of Calgary Stampede memorabilia it is a great place to browse before it gets crowded, The prime rims were very good and there is a... This place is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. This past Saturday, myself and 6 other people (all originally from Montreal) decided on Ranchman’s for a friends 27th birthday. Two of my friends were let in with their Quebec Medicare cards-one was asked to log in to Facebook for age verification (fair enough), however, a 3rd friend tried to enter about 5 minutes later... Not worth the trip from downtown. First time to Ranchmans, and was told it was a good stampede stop. Was denied entry by 'Casey' without cause. No reason given, but i suspect he simply didn't like our look. Pathetic.

This was OK. Prime rib was very good, chicken not so much. Salad bar was OK and the desserts were not great. Folks who were dancing looked like they were having lots of ft.

I am a Breast Cancer Survivor and I was treated so terribly at Ranchmans that I can't even explain. I have gone there over 30 years and have a valued customer card. I asked the coat check girl to zip up my dress when I took my coat off because I can not reach the back to do so myself... More
