Friends of mine had heard great things about Pulcinella's, so we thought we'd give it a try on a recent trip to Calgary. The restaurant is located in a trendy neighborhood, and the place was quite busy! The lighting is dim and the room is very loud. The oven for pizzas is cool to see, but the pizza itself wasn't... If you go here, keep in mind that Italian style pizza is very different than North American stuff, meaning it doesn't have a lot of toppings, especially cheese. I am no expert on Italian pizza, but I do know that the ingredients used here are very high quality and the crust is apparently very authentic. The crust is thin and... More

I came here when the restaurant opened a few years ago. I wasn't too impressed then, but figured I give it another try recently. I must say, things haven't changed much. The service left much to be desired and the food was mediocre. The hot appetizer came out cold and the pasta was bland. The meal overall lacked flavor and... More

Pucinella has some great options for pizza and I fell in love with it a few years back after it was recommended to me. I have not been back in two years and needed to feed my cravings. As per past experiences the pizza was excellent as was the service! We let our server pick a bottle if wine for... More

I have had a poor experience here a few years back and decided to give it another go. We sat on the patio and ordered the Margarita pizza as well as arancini balls. The arancini was quite good, nice and crisp on the outside and quite savory. The pizza was passable, with so many great pizza places in this city... More

....great service and a fun spot. Osvaldo provided impeccable service and his wine recommendations the same; hence it makes it easy to return.

During a recent visit, we were served by Osvaldo, an excellent waiter. The atmosphere was welcoming and the space was bright and cheerful! The wine list was satisfying. I ordered spaghetti and I hate to say it, but it was a bit undercooked ~ just enough to take a bit of the pleasure away...I chewed my way through it anyway!... More

I absolutely love the pizza here! Make sure you get your own as it is a thin pizza. The pizza's have lots of flavor and I am always happy to go back.

It's a must of the Sunday evening, the place you need when you want to eat the real Italian Pizza. Good location, Italian music in background and a lot of pictures on the wall about Italy. The food is very very good and the waitress/waiter are polite. A little bit expensive but the quality has it's price. For non Italian... More

All the pizza here was excellent. Very thin crust and very tasty. The patio upstairs would be great for people watching on a warm day.
