Basement Pub wiith Great Food

I learned that this is a typical hang-out of Calgarians working in downtown. The atmosphere is very relaxed, with billiard tables, TVs, game console.. I am not a fond of the smoke scent HOWEVER the food really taste awesome, kinda like home cooked fresh from the stove and oven. The servings are... read more

I go here all the time and I am never disappointed. The food is excellent, the services is excellent and it's all priced very reasonably! Shepards pie is amazing as is the steak sandwich, but don't order your main course until you've tried there appetizer bear bangers, they will bring you too heaven and back! I recommend this place 100%

Good Service and reasonable prices. Lots of restaurant and hospitality staff here after hours. It is like the bartenders all know your name

The food was excellent, I had a shepherd's pie and a guiness, pretty delicious. Great atmosphere and service!

Excellent food and price. With the walkway, great way to see and know Calgary. What a great place to see summer time.

I met a colleague of mine there for lunch today. The Octoberfest Menu was presented to us and the specials were difficult, but we both chose the sausage platter. Very quiet atmosphere for lunch, great food, and mediocre service, but I am definitely going back for seconds. Great pub if you need something a little different and unique.

We were downtown for an event and had some time to kill. 5 of us looking for food and drinks. Pubs are always comfort food. Excellent food for a good price. Arriving for happy hour does not hurt. Atmosphere is a typical pub. It was relaxing, not too loud. Service was good, did I mention the food was great and... More

You could completely walk right by this place as it is tucked away on Stephen Avenue, but it is a kind of hidden gem. Great food, great service and reasonably priced. This is one of my favorite places to grab some pub food for lunch. Not pretentious, and definitely a breath of fresh air in an area of downtown Calgary... More

Went here twice during our stay in Calgary. The waiters in both occasions were pleasant and prompt with their service. Had nachos with chicken on the first visit. The nachos were exceptionally loaded with no skimping on her chicken. Tried to chicken fingers and fries along with the monthly special of pulled pork poutine on the second night. The pulled... As someone who spends a bunch of time in Calgary for work I don't really venture too far out from my hotel (generally the Palliser). I am a creature of habit and once I find something I like I will keep going back until given a reason not to. I have eaten in every restaurant on Stephen Ave and the... More
