I dined here with 4 friends on a Tuesday evening. It is not the kind of place you would just stop in at as it does not look like much from the outside. It is a standalone building with an ample parking lot. The inside was toasty warm and very hip. The service was excellent and food very fresh and... More

This room exudes character and charm----small intimate bar area and the rest of the lounge area has been turned into dining room availability as well. We had our favourite location--a booth. Staff was cordial---especially the bartender--our server a bit stiff. Roasted squash soup with coconut milk and curry---excellent. Complimentary hummus is our personal best anywhere. Deviled egg salad---very good. duck... More

I recently visited Alloy for a business lunch, I was extremely surprised upon arriving, the area it is located looks more suited to a commercial business, however the restaurant is excellent inside. We had Ravioli for starters and pork ribs for mains. The food was superb and the service was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was quite busy and... More

We searched "best places to eat in Calgary" and this turned up in the top 10. My friends ordered the beet salad, and the ravioli for starters,Our entrees were Beef Tenderloin, the Frankenpork, and the Chicken. My friends that had the starters were amazed, staff also brought hummus and pita, it was to die for. I had the beef, and... More

Each Christmas my wife and I pick a highly recommended restaurant and go on a date. We do this instead of buying each other a gift... and when you consider what you can spend on a gift, spending a few hundred dollars is expected. This year we picked Alloy. The food was wonderful. The "Frankenpork" - pork tenderloin, pork belly,... More

If you drive along 42 Ave SE you may miss Alloy since it is located in an unexpected area. Make sure to have the address written down or set your GPS. The restaurant is located in a quite large standalone building. The decor and ambience inside is nice. The menu has a good selection of started and mains and they... More

After dining at Alloy, my feeling is quite simply one of neutrality. It was not bad, nor was it great. At the end of the day, the food was fine but nothing to rave about and not memorable enough that I would be willing to return in any great hurry. It is quite a large, contemporary space in a rather... More
