We were two couples out for dinner to catch up on each other's news. Service was very good and the food excellent on this mid-week outing. However, due to the physical nature of the restaurant, a full house results in a noise level that makes conversation difficult. It is obviously a popular eating spot but be cautious if you want... This restaurant is located in a not very glamourous part of calgary, next to a lumber yard and a tire shop. But the decor is such that once inside one is not aware of the surrounding area. Our server was a particularly attractive and articulate young woman. The service was very good. As the name Alloy implies, this restaurant serves... More

We decided to go to Alloy for dinner because we did some research and it was on the top 10 in calgary so we thought it cant be that bad. When we arrived we thought it was in a funny area and the interior was like and old Asian restaurant or something. Our service was terrible, the server was ran... More

My husband and I became sick after eating at thi restaurant. At the end of our evening, we both had to go to the restaurant rest room and had diarrhea. Service was very poor. Our server let our used plates (i had 3 appetizers instead of a main course) pile up around our table. I had bottled sparkling water but... More

Went on recommendation. Disappointed with the food. Why with one of their signature dishes, lamb, do they not use fresh local meat. I asked and the waitress told me it was fresh from Australia!!

After a friend raved about his Alloy experience I thought I'd give it a try. I had been looking forward to eating at Alloy for months (I had specifically chosen it for a celebratory dinner) and so my expectations were possibly inflated. The location was more of a turn-off than I thought it would be (who puts a fancy restaurant... More

We had a great dinner the other night here. 5 out of 5 in the group loved their meal. Lamb chops were perfectly cooked. Portions aren't massive but reasonable combined with an appetizer. Staff was friendly and they have a nice patio on the back.

I have been to Alloy many times and I have enjoyed it very much. Excellent food and service. At my latest visit (a few days ago) I was slightly put off by slow service and main course (halibut) which was not as hot as I would have liked (aka luke warm) though it was very nicely cooked and presented. We... More

I will never return and do not suggest you try this restaurant except if you like poor, overly-salted and overly priced food.

We read numerous reviews about this restaurant, and decided to go there for my birthday! They greeted us with a glass of Prosecco (as first time attendees) to welcome us to the restaurant. This was a very nice touch, and showed their appreciation for their customers. Our server was lovely and very sweet and patient with our many questions about... More
