The food is unique to your average pub fare and everything I have tried so far is amazingly delicious. I am always looking forward to my next visit. Their specialty cocktails are great as well. The servers are always very friendly, knowledgable and are great about giving suggestions on menu items and drinks to try. Overall the food is amazing,... More

The food at the Urban Tavern was excellent. We really liked the fact that any ingredient that could be sourced locally was. There were some very unique dishes, great beer and a long list of poutine flavours. We're definitely looking forward to going back.

I love this place. My only complaint, AT ALL, is that it gets crowded and seats are grab 'em as you can get 'em. That makes it hard to get a seat! However, the food is spectacular. The menu changes on a regular basis based on what's in season. They also pickle vegetables in house and they are SO YUM!... More

Before this was The District I had visited the previous establishment @ this location. Inside the decor hasn't really changed but the atmosphere sure has. Was pretty noise when all the tables had filled up, which lent itself to a cozy booth experience. I liked their vibe with in house made items like ketchup, pickles & bacon, though other then... More

I have gone to district a few times with friends, my girlfriend and work colleagues. It seems like any of those groups fit perfectly at district. Admittedly the kitchen has ebbed & flowed in quality, but from what I understand they now have a new chef at the helm and he is turning out greatness. I went in last Friday... More

Atmosphere: noisy even the place is nearly empty. Food: fries, crab cakes and beef ribs were exagerately greasy. Service: slow, rude, inefficient. Value: very expensive. Beer: chilled.

As far as pubs go, I generally go to District more than anywhere else. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly and all the staff are really great. The happy hour is definitely worth it and is a nice break from the drink gouging that goes on in nearby downtown. Their beer is delicious and the food isn't bad either... More

Good menu, good people, and always dependable. I particularly enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and the charcuterie menu.

We ordered multiple poutines which no one loved but didnt hate, the main even was definately there meat and cheese platters. We went through 4 setups, waitress was quick with bar drink refills. Was busy all night long, truly a good time.

I really like District. The food and the beer are really good. The staff are attentive and very knowledgable. And I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. The menus are written on blackboards around the restaurant and although there are some consistent items, there are usually several new dishes each time we go in. I have never been disappointed with a... More
