I grew up the grandson of an Alberta cattle farmer. I know my beef and this place has excellent beef. It even has a porterhouse, which is hard to find. The meat is true AAA and properly cooked, if you ask for medium rare they give you medium rare, most places give you "medium" no matter what. I have been... More

If you love hokey country music, an empty wallet, and an empty stomach, this is the place for you. Our special occasion was spoiled by the goofy, loud music and the miniscule portions at $36 a plate. I choose this place based on reviews, with which I now strongly disagree. The Keg or Moxie's would have been better atmosphere, better... More

Scare you off. The interior ambiance and finishing is very comfortable and suits the restaurant style perfectly. The mainly meat menu is well done with numerous choices including chicken and fish. The appetizers all look great we only were able to try three, lite and zippy jalapeño fritters, calamari and escargot. All very good, would be fun to go to... More

We did a lot of research to decide where we were going to treat ourselves to a great steak while in Calgary and we are so very glad we chose here. Casual but nice and comfortable and sumptuous with no pretention. We shared the porterhouse for 2 and they managed the very difficult task of getting the filet and sirloin... More

We took my Mom here for dinner to celebrate Mother's Day. If you like steak, the 24 oz porterhouse is amazing. The side dishes were wonderful, creamy cheesy scalloped potatoes. They have a number of interesting game items on the menu. I had the elk, it was tender, juicy and not gamey tasting at all. Interesting selection of wines from... More

I visited last night with five friends whilst on vacation in Canada. My friend recommended this restaurant as he was previously a resident of Calgary. We experienced flawless hospitality from the team here and our server was knowledgable, engaging, professional and friendly... A credit to his craft The food is very good, all of our party agreed. I can't recall... More

I went there last night with some co-workers, and it was so good. Very unique dishes, Bison, Duck Ostrich. you name it. they have got it. I had the Arctic Char, and it was done to perfection, the appetizers were so good. Praschuito wrapped Shrimp, ostrich sliced meat, duck sausage. I'm not a big red meat eater, bu teverything tasted... Read the recent reviews of the restaurant which we visit frequently. We enjoy the neighbourhood also and it's well worth a visit for newcomers. How a reviewer can compare to Joey's or Earl's amazes us as this is a unique restaurant with a great community feel. The chains are a choice although don't possess this character. Even when we've arrived... More

I went here for Sunday brunch at 11.30. They had a sign outside saying brunch served from 9am until noon. I was told they had no-one in before me. I chose a bacon, cheese, & salad enchilada with salsa & rosti potatoes. It came, the rosti was raw mainly, the enchilada tasteless! Avoid!

Went there with out-of-town guests. Had unique menu choices including rabbit, bison, elk, etc. Also had seafood for those who don't want game meats. Good choice if you want something different from the likes of Joey's or Earl's. Portion size was good. Food quality and preparation was average. My main course was somewhat salty, but not too bad. The rest... More
