BIG Fish has the best mussels we've ever had! Each piece is big, fat, fresh and very tasty, especially the broth. We love the broth so much that we asked for extra bread just to soak up all those tasty juice. The seafood chowder is full of 'stuff', better than average. The salmon is nicely cooked (although a little bit... More

I had been to Big Fish before but not for a long time - so after a trip to both the east and west coasts I thought it would be fun to compare fish dishes. I tried the Halibut. Interestingly the chef did not put a hearty sear on it as they did on the east coast and he left... More

Search for this hidden gem but forget the 2 for 1 oysters on Monday, go any other day and get a superior oyster selection - the menu offers a good variety, quality is well above average, service is very pleasant and extremely attentive - they even allow BYOB for a reasonable corkage if you don't enjoy their wine menu. Through... More

On a recent Fishing Trip to BC from Thailand popped into this little Gem with fellow Anglers and had a great feed of Oysters & Mussels superb and a great atmosphere washed down with a local brew perfect.

We tried this place because it was recommended by, "you got to eat here". I am struggling between this place being good and very good. What makes me give it a rating of good is the price. My wife and I had a $100 bill including tip and all we had was water with our meal. I did not think... More

Food was just OK. Way over prized. Staff not very customer service oriented. Location is not the greatest either. All together it was an OK experience.

Looking for a place to go for lunch it Big Fish came to mind. Had a bit of a craving for seafood, and had passed it a few times so we figured why not. I was a little disappointed to learn they were serving brunch and not their usual lunch menu, but we were hungry and decided to make the... More

This restaurant has defined fresh and creative . We started with NZ oysters in kiwi sauce which tickled the tastebuds - expensive - yes - but hey I can't go the heaven with a u-haul so enjoy the moment. My halibut was done perfectly on a bed of wild rice/buckwheat with spaghetti squash fritters which had me wishing for more.... More

We visited BIG Fish after my sister in law saw then featured on 'You've Gotta Eat Here'. We weren't disappointed! An eclectic funky vibe with a great menu. I ordered the pistachio crusted Arctic char & it was amazing, we shared mussels for an appie- no disappointment!! Service was great, music was enjoyable- jazz, Zydeco, added to the atmosphere. Great... More
