My Favourite Breakfast in Cowtown

These are the best Dutch-style pannenkoek I've had outside of Amsterdam. The ingredients are cooked right into the crepe; sweet, savoury, or somewhere in between, this is the perfect place to go for breakfast (unless you're celiac, of course). Went here in 2010 and was blown away by the Philly cheese steak crepe- excellent value for what you get. I was surprised by another trip to Calgary and the first order of business (after driving 6 hours from Saskatoon) was lunch here. After a bit of a wait- there seemed to be a rush when we arrived just after... More

This is a decent place to get Dutch pancakes in Calgary. My friend and I shared a bacon/cheese/apple and a bacon/cheese/mushroom pancake. We also had some good coffee. the pancakes were good, albeit a bit greasy. The service was friendly. Since the group I was in was over 8 persons, we had an automatic 15 percent tip (which is normal... More

I typically dont really enjoy pancakes, maybe only once in a blue moon. Came across this while searching for pancakes as my cousin loved it. Recommended by my friend who lives in Netherlands to try (the pancakes). Wasnt too crowded on a Friday afternoon, lots of selections. Ordered a classic savoury, classic sweet and a sweet & savoury, arrived nice... More

We found out about this place while we were searching for a good place to eat pancakes on Pancake Day. They were closed! Blasphemie! A pancake house closed on pancake day?! We decided to try another place that day but since this place had good reviews we decided to plan a visit later. which we did. We got there and... More

This place is sooooo great. So many different pancakes, both sweet and savory. Nice dutch influence and really friendly staff. A great place to bring the family. There was a good line up when we went so plan ahead. A little more expensive than a typical breakfast, around 18$/person. Worth every penny.

I have been to this restaurant many times over the years. My mother-in-law is Dutch and this is her favourite restaurant. I have never been disappointed with any of my visits. The pancakes are amazing. The savoury pancakes are great and the sweet are even better. On the weekends expect to wait in line. The restaurant is super busy and... More

My daughter and I visited on Feb. 28/15. Didn’t mind the wait times as I expected the meal to be great. I heard about this restaurant on TV and it certainly smelled good going in. I work with a Dutch lady who said I should try apple and bacon (I make pannekoek at home) since it is traditional so both... More

Sweet and Savory choices available. Ownership has changed, but the meals remain the same - very good.

The crepes were ok...they were nothing special in my opinion, they just didn't stand out from any other crepes I've had and the hype of this place gave me high expectations of their food. The service was fantastic! Fast and attentive which a place like this needs, didn't make you feel rushed but didn't waste time with useless "I want... More
