Reminiscent of a furniture show room with uncomfortable seats, it generates a high noise level even when less than full. Our service was good, but the food was quite bland and average. Typical of Calgary, it's very pricy for what you get.

There were four of us for lunch on a cold January day. We arrived shortly before noon and there were only a few people in the restaurant. The service was attentive throughout the meal. Two of us ordered the daily special (a type of crepe) and two ordered the stracciatella, which had a subtle taste but was not particularly warm.... More

The owner waited on us personally and there were at least 2 others to make sure our glasses were always full. Appi's ordered were the bruschetta which was amazing!, the olive oil they used was so fragrant and full of flavour and the portobello mushroom in cream sauce which I was assured was also amazing. We tried the special which... More

We recently had dinner at Villa Firenze. Overall the food was solid but standard Italian fare. Nothing special, and in fact the pasta on some dishes was over cooked. Not such a bad problem, except that we were paying top dollar. The bill was $300 for 4 people, and we only had 3 glasses of wine and no desert. To... More

Went here last night to celebrate a friend's birthday. We arrived with reservations at 7pm and did not leave until after 10pm. I would suggest reservations as it can get very busy here. The food and service were both top notch. It has been many years since I ate here. This is high-end Italian cuisine. Yes it is expensive but... More

On a recent Friday evening, we found ourselves at Villa Firenze on the spur of the moment and without a reservation. Luckily, we arrived quite early and they were able to fit us in without any problems. We had a great service from the waiter who quickly gave us the rundown on the specials of the evening. The food, when... More

My family and I visited based on the reviews. We were extremely happy with our experience. We had different selections from the menu along with wine, coffee and deserts. The food was excellent and the service from the family owner/operators was warm and friendly. We'll definitely be back.

No, this isn't a review for breakfast at Denny's. I'll start by saying I've been going to Villa Firenze for over 20 years. Returned this week for my birthday dinner (great place for a cozy, intimate dinner- nice ambience).Waiter was nice, albeit a little inexperienced or poorly trained. (See title). Disappointed that we didn't get the olive oil/balsamic vinegar that... More

My husband and I went to Villa Firenze with his parents for his birthday and all I can say is… wow! It was delicious! From the moment we walked in the service was excellent and the food was amazing from the first bite to the last. We ordered the special, portabella mushrooms to start which came along with their house... More
