Went with a friend and we were a little confused by the tick the box menu system. Basically you can order as much and as many types of very good sushi etc. for a fixed price. Excellent food and a good opportunity to try lots of dishes.

had the all you can eat sushi special here. Wasn't expecting amazing sushi...most menu items were good...but not amazing. Two items to avoid however- Chicken karage is more like KFC's popcorn chicken and not really befitting what real Japanese karage tastes like. Also found the sunomono offer to be a little gross. Service however was excellent- both consistent and positive... More

We have been coming here for years. The food is good and the service is excellent. Great variety and value. The salmon sushi is very good. The only things missing from the all you can eat menu is shashimi.

Just because a restaurant has "sushi" in its name, doesn't mean I have to order it specifically. I've tried the mango, dynamite, and stampede rolls. They all tasted great and there wasn't a hint of any off-putting odors or tastes. I was relieved to not receive sushi that was refrigerated to the point where the rice gets dried out and... More

Visited this restaurant while staying at the Days Inn South for a Saddledome concert. The restaurant was quite large with cozy private booths. Tried a few sushi rolls and appys (shumai, yakitori, dynamite and unagi rolls) - the food arrived promptly and was delicious and fresh. Great value for good sushi. A worthwhile visit especially if you are in the... More

Was on business trip from Vancouver. I had learned that no place can really compare to the food in Vancouver. So I've kept my expectations lower. This place is horrible. It's all you can eat and before heading down there the reviews said it actually charged for wasted food. So I was very conscious in ordering. So we had some... More

Met a co-worker for lunch at Sushi Ichiban and was very disappointed. I love sushi but not when it's not fresh. Sushi shouldn't smell "fishy" and several of our pieces seemed like they had been left out a little too long or perhaps they ordered too much and had been sitting on the inventory a little too long. Either way... More

Wether it be a night out to have a simple miso soup, roll or All you can eat sushi, everytime you come you will enjoy good service and food. Parking on the other hand can be very limited in the front, but there is more parking in back of the building.

I've been to Sushi Ichiban at least 4 times in the last 8 months. There is a fair number of booths in the restaurant and some can fit up to 8 people. They give you little menus at the tables and each of your guests can go around and pick the entrees that interest them but only a certain number... More
