Still charging on all cylinders!

I have been going to Smuggler’s for over forty years but was back for the first time in a decade to celebrate my Mother’s birthday recently. Mom had asked for a prime rib place and it certainly fit the bill. I did look at recent reviews which were generally good with the exception of couple of... read more

I've loved Smuggler's ever since my mom took me as a kid for steak soup, and it hasn't changed since! Every meal I've had there was delicious, and I go every chance I get. The service is outstanding, and I love the cool 'medieval' style chairs. I'd recommend Smuggler's to anyone!

Been around for ever, took some friends out from Montreal and they loved it. Salad bar was great, and the soups are to die for, (3 bowls myself) and 2 of us had the prime rib, blackend, and 1 had a chicken sandwich and the other had the salad bar. Everything was great, including the service. Great place to eat.

I love this place. Whenever I have a special occasion, birthday, anniversary it is my first choice. the salad bar is one of the best in the city, you could just have that and be full and happy. My fav meal is the Smugglers cut. I have them flay it, I think that is the right term. They essentially cut... More

Nice place, excellent service (thank you Billy) and one of the best steaks we've ever had; a nice thick cut with lots of taste and very well prepared. Good salad bar with lots of choices, great sides, all very tasteful, good wine and the price was very okay. The dessert menu is so good that you can't resist it. This... More

Front of house guys insisted we thank one of them for taking us to our table, and generally acted as if they were doing us a supurb favour by getting us a seat. It was pretty funny, not sure what was going on there. Food was pretty good, especially the salad bar.

I recall visiting this restaurant a few times many, many years ago. I was visiting someone who was working down on MacLeod Trail, so we thought we'd try a place for dinner not too far away. After an unsuccessful stop at another place, I saw that Smuggler's Inn was quite close so we went there. This place is a throw... More

We just finished eating a Sunday brunch at Smugglers and we were not impressed at all. We used to frequent this place years ago when we lived in the city, and since we were on an overnight trip, we thought we'd enjoy another nice Sunday brunch here. Enjoy was not the word I would use. From the rude host who... More

I have been here several times, and when I'm in Calgary I will drive halfway around the city if I want to have a good steak, because this is the place. With your meal you get access to the salad bar, which is good, although that isn't really why you come here. I must say, the service here, is quite... More
