A throw back

I recall visiting this restaurant a few times many, many years ago. I was visiting someone who was working down on MacLeod Trail, so we thought we'd try a place for dinner not too far away. After an unsuccessful stop at another place, I saw that Smuggler's Inn was quite close so we went there... read more

We just finished eating a Sunday brunch at Smugglers and we were not impressed at all. We used to frequent this place years ago when we lived in the city, and since we were on an overnight trip, we thought we'd enjoy another nice Sunday brunch here. Enjoy was not the word I would use. From the rude host who... More

I have been here several times, and when I'm in Calgary I will drive halfway around the city if I want to have a good steak, because this is the place. With your meal you get access to the salad bar, which is good, although that isn't really why you come here. I must say, the service here, is quite... More

Used to be a place to go - no longer. Over the past few years this place is going down - prices are still high but value not so much Server a bit snappy and than went on to say it was due to her finger being broken - not my problem salad bar is just basic bar - nothing... More

We've been a fan of smuggler's Inn since 1997, and it has been our "go-to" steakhouse, they were always consistently good, steaks were always done perfectly to our liking which is medium. But this was not the case yesterday, we went there last night for our friends and family Christmas dinner, 17 people altogether, my husband and I prdered the... More

I loved the atmosphere, giant throne-like chairs and the ambiance of a classic steakhouse. Great value and prices, something for every budget. We ordered the double stuffed potato and it was very dry but our server quickly corrected the problem and refunded on our bill as well as offered us a free desert. Lots of great wines to chose from.... More

My wife and I went to Smugglers for our anniversary. Neither one of us have bren there for over 5 years. I ordered Bison, and to say it was a disappointment was an understatement. The steak was fatty and tough. I'm not going to get into all my greivances here, but next time i want a phenominal bison steak, i... More

I absolutely love Smugglers Inn and have been going there for years. Every visit has been enjoyable. I love love love the salad bar, and almost always have the Prime Rib. And you can't beat the atmosphere. Very unique!

My family and I met here for brunch and we couldn't have picked a better location. For a party of 8 adults and 4 children, we were very comfortable and happy. The salad bar is better than most i have been to and even included a couple of delicious soups. Most of us ordered prime rib and we were all... More

Smugglers serves brunch Saturday and Sunday from 0930 until 1400 hours in the bright, well lighted Tango area of the building. The menu varies and there are weekly updates on the website. Food tables are arranged compactly with moderately sized service bowls and plates allowing for frequent refills from the kitchen. Food quality is like plated service without the "tiredness"... More
