I have been coming to Rea's for nearly 6 years, ever since it went under its old name and long before it renovated and became Rea's. It is a great Italian restaurant that is clearly family-run, and feels very authentic. Though it isn't cheap, the food is amazing and the staff are wonderful, friendly, and pleasant to engage with. Food is always top notch. It can get pretty busy, so either come early or make a reservation. Casual atmosphere, not stuff at all.

Went to Rea's for a birthday celebration and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The food was excellent and the price was very reasonable. Would definately recommend this quaint little place.

What a joy it is to actually be helped by an Italian waiter at an Italian restaurant. You absolutely must try the Fusilli Ferraro. Complementary bread and butter are great. I've eaten here at least once every couple of months and this place never lets me down. The pizza is different, it probably isn't like any pizza you've tried before... More

This little place is run just like you would expect in Italy! The food is fantastic, the staff are authentic. Sometimes I think I am in Italy when I go there! Its family run and you are always treated like you are part of that family there! Priced well for the food, and the food is great and consistent! You... More

I am a fan of all types of pizza; thin crust, thick crust, simple, loaded. I consider Rea's traditional-style pizza the best in Calgary. Top notch ingredients and wonderful crust combine to an excellent offering. More often than not, we order out...the restaurant is so popular, it's difficult to get a decent table on short notice.

Dinner was delicious and seemed very authentic. Even our server had a very thick italian accent. I would be happy to go there again.

I only give it 3 stars because the cappuccino and tiramisu were very good, but even at that, at $5 I thought that was a bit steep for cappuccino. My wife had the lasagne which at first glance looked great, nice big portion, but the sauce and cheese were very dissapointing. Sauce being super salty. I had the veil and... More

Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or impressive business lunch - this is the place. Service is professional, food is wonderful, location is not so good but that kind of adds to the experience too. Reservations a must so you're not disappointed.

The decor of the restaurant was dated and the atmosphere was dark and "old", but not in a good quaint italian small town way. Worst of all was the overpriced and terrible quality of the food coming out of the kitchen. Without any exaggeration their mains (veal) presentation looked like canteen food with meat, sauce and veg. Mine looked kind... More
